I think this saga is near its end. A big time program like Guyer it wouldn’t shock me if his HS coach wouldn’t want him dealing with recruiting during the season. I think he visits OU and flips or pleasantly surprises us all and declined going and sticks. I don’t think we play this visit OU, but still ND game much longer. I know where it’d place my bet.

I’m sick of hearing about this kid. Go get someone else and tell him bon voyage. How many times does the staff have to chase these kids around and get burned b4 they realize the right approach is if you’re looking around, you’re highly unlikely to stick, so we’re taking someone else? If he wanted to see somewhere else once and then say, okay, I’m good at ND, that’s be one thing. This kid is like traveling all over the country trying his damndest to see everything after giving a verbal. He’s just using ND to save a seat in the bus in case.

I watched what guys like Tuitt did during his recruitment. It's not an automatic L, like the Dante situation, where he shifted the goal posts.

We might have the parents here again too. Might be the main thing holding it together this long

Every time.....you chase them every time, or you go back to recruiting like Kelly did and only go after RKGs

I swear to God, if TR screws this up, heads are going to roll!
Rees, fumbling yet another important thing for NDFB (just like UTL v. Michigan!) with his tiny hands.

National dude for On3 presents A&M as a bigger threat and says he may be at their “Pool Party” (I assume would be instead of OU)

Because right now it's about keeping one of the best safeties in the nation committed to your team.
Yep the rule really is “if you commit and then take visits elsewhere etc then you better be irreplaceable”.

Loy says he tells ND about every single visit (even the "secret" ones to OU). We'll see how it goes.

Read the latest article Alex had from him at Irish Illustrated. This kid can’t be considered a commit after those comments. Not saying ND will lose him, but no way you can consider him a commit.

can you quote the comments?
I feel like in this day and age you cant even really consider a starter to be committed.
Eg didn't we all get our hearts racing (a little bit) at the prospect of Lorenzo Styles possibly transferring to OSU when his brother chose them?

Yeah that article was *wild*. I’m not going to rip a kid, but I’d assume he maybe wishes he had some of those quotes back. Yikes.

I’ve noticed kids answer questions based on the interviewer’s alternative motives.

The Rivaks guy asked ND-centric questions and Peyton only talked about ND. That interview would lead you believe he is 100% ND.

Other dudes are trying to stir crap up & create content, so they ask specific questions that lead on the kids to talk about other schools. It’s like a lawyer asking certain questions to direct a witness in the direction they want them to go.

EJ is famous for that. Whenever he sees Peyton he will ask him specific questions about Michigan & then write articles that would lead people to believe Peyton is flipping to Michigan.

This thread is the perfect message board talk. Since committing to ND Bowen has made visits elsewhere and I am sure MF & the staff know.

With all the visits he has made, to me I think he would've decommitted by now.

He is still committed and I like his chances to stay committed.

To Peyton’s credit, he has continuously returned to ND which is not an easy trek from there. If he returns in the fall, I think all is well. If not, he gone

To the prompt of you’re locked in with the Irish his initial reaction was to say he’s taking it slow and it’s stressful lol. That’s usually for commits the completely opposite answer.

Unless that player is a great quarterback or a great running back, it's not going to make or break your team.
He's committed until he isn't. Next man up.

OU fans say his girlfriend is committed to OU for soccer.

Some have said parents are in our camp.

aTm in there too.

So we just have a classic recruiting tale as old as time on our hands. If that’s how the story ends then whatever, seen it before will see it again.
