As long as we're complaining about Driskell can we talk about how all of his publications (that I've read at least) are absolutely littered with typos and run-on sentences. They're really borderline unreadable.
You actually read his stuff?
Listening to the pods/Youtube are hard enough...but, reading, that man's work? That can't be good lol

Watched their show from yesterday. Driskell said he doesn’t know where people are getting their concern about Hanafin. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t he the one that started that rumor?

I think people have him WAY WAY overrated, I was hoping price would eat into his touches. Imho least talented rb on scholarship roster by far

Will Shipley vs Logan diggs is different planets of talent levels
Dude, you have some seriously off takes. Maybe you should take a close look at the second half of your username...

OK so Anna's update was from yesterday and so was Driskell.s. Cool we now know where he got his "Inside info".

And maybe Sampson isn't a recruiting insider anymore but neither is Driskell. In fact he was never an insider, he was an analyst.
Did you ever read what he said as his update?
His update was simply that all the people he contacted on Hanafin’s recruitment have all of the sudden gone quiet on him.
And said that is usually a bad sign.

He also has a guy now, Ryan Roberts, who actually does talk to the recruits & their families, including Hanafin.
And Shaun Davis, despite sometimes being all over the place, had great relationships with the recruits.

So, A) Driskell actual has people who talk to recruits now B) He didn’t give any update that Hanafin was going to Clemson, his update was that Hanafin’s camp went silent on him and that’s bad

I’m not going to defend anything else Driskell, but his update seems legit.

That was around lunch.
Then in the evening he put out a long “intel” piece on it.
It literally changed that fast.
Basically, since everyone was asking about Hanafin all day, he and his staff started contacting all their sources in the Hanafin recruitment and last night he posted that nobody is answering or returning their calls all of the sudden.
Said that in the past it was always a bad sign & now he is concerned.

Like I said last week, there are not "three silents." There is one -- Greathouse -- and then a couple guys ND feels good about but certainly can't be called silents. We're creating fake consternation by pretending that we are "locks" for some of these other players.

Two in the bag with two more spots to fill. Greathouse looks like he's number 3.

You're going to get reps at WR if you come to ND. Earlier than you might want them whether you want them or not. CJ Carr waiting in the wings for you.

Easy sell.

After Greathouse maybe it’s time to let the on the field play speak and then look for flips. If MF can’t win on the field, maybe we don’t deserve to finish strong. Beating Ohio State or going 11-1 would be a good look. I am a little surprised Hanafin would waver on ND. He grew up a ND fan, would likely play a lot, and he lives in one of the deepest Catholic regions in the country. He’s also best friends with Zinter.

Why shoudl someones opinion that doesn't go with the norm mean you need to shut up. That's BS.

I haven't posted here a ton, but you will see, regrading X's and O's and talent evaluation i'm not always right but i know a good bit. Hope to win you over.

Again, i can't believe people need to not talk because they don't agree with the norm.

I'll stand firm that Diggs is not an overly talented RB. I hope i'm wrong, a lot of people have blinders and think every player on ND is awesome (for power 5). It's just not true. Just because you get in as a frosh doesn't mean it's because you're so good. Look at clarence lewis, cat started in the CFP as a true frosh, and he's one of the worst starting corners in power 5 football, and may start again this year.

People probably have high hopes that braden lenzy is going to turn into will fuller this year, just not going to happen. People think Deion Colzie is going to be amazing because he looks the part. I don't think so. Because Ramon Henderson may start people think he's going to be an absolute stud, i think he may struggle because his change of direction and hips are very poor. ND has some unreal talent, but we have weaknesses as well.

Dabo baptizes kids at practice. I could be as Catholic as The Pope and I'd probably still listen to what Clemson is pitching.

I think they'll win enough games to be relevant. It's going to come down to what Rees can do with Buchner and a thin WR room offensively. If they can be all they can be it will resonate more with the 2024 and 2025 group more than anything.

I think Greathouse and Hanafin both sign with ND no matter what. If they don't, studies have shown that life can and will go on.

kyrens balance and cutting ability and pad level were and are off the charts good. He just doesn't have the size and overall speed
Didn't he break off a 90 yard run against UNC? Typically if you aren't fast, you don't break off that long of a run. He doesn't have elite speed, but he's fast.

Size I agree with though.

If Greathouse is a silent then I'm stoked. If Hanafin doesn't work out circle back to Elzy.

He's not slow, he's not fast or overly quick, his 40 times showed that. Depends on what you mean for fast. Is he fast for a power 5 running back, no.

Run vs UNC was unbelievable, he didn't have to outrun any corners, he stiff armed one, and the others were blocked or opposite side. He did outrun a LB down the sideline.

I was never a believer that Jason Moore was going to come to ND (no inside info, just gut feeling due to his HS). I've had high hopes for hanafin though.

I don't think WR is his best position, but I think he'll be mentally and phsyically ready to contribute even at WR day 1. Alex Pierce is my comparison at WR.

Seems every recruits thread lately has turned into debates about the quality and accuracy of comments by Driskell, Loy, Sampson, etc.. Hint, hint.

This is what happens when we don’t land prospects daily anymore

Dabo’s sweet nothings southern charm to try to save the recruitment at the end. Didn’t work on Absher. Hopefully the same result here.

And Absher is actually Southern.

This is one where I worry not having a QB may hurt us though. I saw that pic Hanafin posted with Vizzina awhile back. They look like twins.

I had put you in the camp of, "highly suspect, probably won't last long, kind of annoying....sort of Kuhn'ish" but now........now I feel comfortable stating it outright ;)

I don't think you're actually kuhn but the only thing I've agreed with you is on Logan Diggs. I think he's a middling back on a loaded roster. I think each of the backs we now have can produce when given touches.

I don't think anyone is strongly advocating Braden Lenzy as Will Fuller pt. deux. Who said Deion Colzie is going to be amazing? Almost every update suggests he's not taken the step needed to be competitive. What do you think of Tobias Merriweather? Most of those on the beat are suggesting early returns are that he'll play a significant role this fall. Unless he hits the freshman wall, i'm going to expect 400+ yds and 4+ TDs.

Please post links to where people suggest Deion Colzie is going to be amazing.

On3 update just now says it’s a “coin flip” between ND & Clemson & sources on both side say he is “torn.”

Another interesting note, he was a heavy ND lean going into OV’s & now 50/50.

He wants to decide soon but can’t decide.

Well, he could always just base it on education?

Give me original old school church. And twice on Sunday
Being a Protestant is like having my 5 y/o rewrite the constitution and having my 3 year old interpret it in Spanish.

To the Protestants on here. I’m JK. Kind of.

I know his high school very well. You don’t go there if you’re not serious about school, you won’t make it through. (Probably half his class will attend Ivy League or equivalent schools). I’m sure you can get a fine education at Clemson, but this kid should go to Notre Dame.
