A problem is they need bodies *and* talent, and you don’t find a ton of athletes like Ronan out there. They can probably get a body, although I said the same thing last year about WR recruiting.

I would prefer that any staff at ND keep space for late offers. These players are not fully developed by 17 therefore the evaluations are not complete nor should they stop. Too many good players that are late bloomers.

I hope the staff keeps an open eye on more late offer DB’s. Preferably ones with some length.

I don’t think late offers are a problem, but when it’s just a warm body vs talent that’s a different sorry … Kelly had way too many warm bodies at times to finish classes

I don't agree with either of these takes. Diggs showed as a freshman he was ready to take the lions share of the carries this year barring injury.

Logan Diggs is not the least talented rb on the roster and certainly not “by far”. When he was healthy he looked like a potential rb1.

What did he show you? Serious question. I saw someone mentally ready, and that's big, but I don't see that much talent. Yes he's patient and can catch, but he is slow, and doesn't cut that well or run with power.

I'm not saying he's terrible, but compared to what we should have at the position, we need more. Estime in my opinion is bigger, faster, stronger, better pad level, just needs to be a bit more natural.

Eh it’s not like Sampson keeps his finger on recruiting daily anymore. His understanding could be days or more old and it’s not like he would have been digging deep on Hanafin in any way

I’m certainly not gonna come to BD’s defense heavily but Hickey’s update was not a week old, it from the day prior. I also don’t consider Sampson a recruiting insider anymore, nor would he.

Sampson gets most his recruiting info from II and is usually a few days behind now that he gets it elsewhere.
Driskell straight up said a couple days ago he was very confident in ND too.
Things literally changed yesterday.
Ryan Roberts even said Monday morning he was confident in ND & by that night it had changed.

There definitely has been a shift since the weekend.

As long as we're complaining about Driskell can we talk about how all of his publications (that I've read at least) are absolutely littered with typos and run-on sentences. They're really borderline unreadable.
