Most definitely you should still recruit Young…….Love has a lot of positional flexibility (slot receiver) plus with the recent injury to Jadarian Price, no one knows how his recovery will go.

Yes. Love has positional flexibility and has been adamant he can play anywhere.

ND won't get Young but for the sake of pipe dreams: sure, if Love decides to commit you take him in a hot second. He could be a safety, WR, LB or dominant RB. His athleticism smacks of a top 50-100 talent.

Then if Young wants in the boat at the last minute, you open the door as fast as possible and figure out positions later.

Jayden Limar could play a hybrid WR/RB role.

No idea what Estime will do this year with a bigger role.
Chris Tyree isn't guaranted for a 5th yet
Logan Diggs has flirted with leaving half a dozen times and he's just now going into his sophomore year with a recently repaired labrum.
Gibran Payne has injury history.
Our expected breakout freshman just tore his achilles.

There are no sure things in our backfield and our WR room is nearly as bad in terms of depth. Take all the athletic offensive firepower you can get in this class while things are hot and then sort it out after. These kids are going to have every opportunity to earn early minutes.

Take both Love & Young. To me Love is more of a hybrid RD and Young is your true RB. Look at our RB depth chart now; not worried yet, but we are another injury away to get worried.

You absolutely have to get Love! Young is a stretch and you never know, maybe we will get lucky. You take him no matter what! Both are definitely takes in my book!!

Singer reporting that Love is close to a decision and an announcement is expected before his senior season now.

ND likes it chances some days and not as much other days.

I think he's my favorite offense recruit in this class so fingers crossed.

Ryan Roberts interviewed him this afternoon & Love told him that ND was in his top 2. Ryan said Love didn’t tell him the other school but he believes it’s Alabama.

So….?

Loy also has said he feels like ND is in the top 2. *Total speculation* but I feel like if u are comfortable telling a teams reporters that they are in the top 2 but don't reveal the other team, it means they are sitting second and the other team is remaining hidden to keep the commitment a surprise.

That’s actually what I was thinking too.
Everyone from all the ND sites keep talking about how great the ND visit went, but he went to Alabama after that & Bama didn’t really report much on it (probably because he isn’t as important for them), but what I’ve been able to find is that he was “in awe” when he met Saban & visited Bama.
So who knows for sure?
