Could just be that they are friends that just recently started to follow, but with CJs comments about "I want to make this public and start recruiting..."

It appears,
1) CJ independently wants to get Vizz for 2023.
2) Someone at ND suggest it to him...

He already had a chance "for a new start," and he didn't think he could do better than Tommy. You're not being remotely objective about this.

If Buchner busts and McCarthy is a stud while Angeli is meh and Allar is a star then his recruiting was downright awful in 2021 and 2022. If Buchner is a 2-3 starter and who some think he is while Angeli provides a high floor backup that doesn’t transfer out the tune is completely different. We gotta see at least one result to have any sort of definitive stance.

This is where I’m at. I’m happy w/ him as OC and have seen no issues about his recruiting prowess. I think it’s also fair to say that QB is the toughest position to recruit w/ so many variables and so few elite P5 prospects that would be interested in & could qualify at ND>

I will end it here. If you state something from a position of power (owner) and when you declare something it carries more weight than a normal contributor. Talking about psychology, it is a trip to watch the owners/mods have minions that follow every word and jump on people who disagree. That is the power structure at play. Not saying it is wrong because the core dynamics of power structures plays out everywhere in life. Have a good day.

Posting in general on a message board can often generate sanctimonious opinions and lead to generalizations, but I wouldn’t let another poster’s comments get to you in a way where you use religion and other tactics to argue over football related matters. It just strikes me as illogical more than anything, but maybe there’s beef there that needs to be squashed. Moderators have invested in IE in ways that I have not, and I respect what they have cultivated here for many users to participate in without a direct cost. They also don’t shy away from disagreement and express their views unabashedly. I can get down with that. Anyway, your views do matter, just ease off the side attacks because those don’t contribute much to the discussion that unites us in our commonalities and differences.

I would argue we should include the recruitment of Jack Coan which helped lead to a NY6 game and top 10 season.
