Has been committed to TTech since Thanksiving '21... but is still visiting other schools.

Has run 10.67 / 100m & 21.77 / 200m

Has Stanford & Vandy offers

When ND offers a committed guy at this point it usually means they've secured a visit so look for that to happen.

Plays in the BIG boys district with Duncnville, DeSoto & Cedar Hill.

Recently unofficialed to Stanford, LSU on tap for next weekend and Florida after that.

Tech basically has no chance to keep him.

Solid speed and town name.
Anyone from Texas with a Stanford offer should be highly pursued by ND.

rankings for these kids are so funny because On3 has him rated as the #13 CB but Rivals and ESPN have him in the 40s and 30s

OU, Texas, Ohio State and Nebraska have all offered since ND.

Good measurables and in the highlights you can tell he's not afraid to engage off of the ball.

I've long since stopped paying attention to ESPN rankings. Theyre pretty much worthless.

247 Comp seems to be the only one consistent and reasonable.

247 composite is using ESPN haha.

I’ve gravitated to only caring about 247s ranking. It’s not perfect but they give the most effort by far in doing it at least and have some experienced guys doing it

ESPN usually looks at the guys playing in the Under Armor Game as the top players and ranks them accordingly. I would also add that, given the state of high school football the last 2 years, there is a pretty good shot that alot of catchup will be played by all the services and some are going to see rankings fluctuate wildly. But year, On3 is the dumbest.

Question for our big board savvy posters: does the DB offer expansion reflect a new-and-improved philosophy (casting a wider net after spring evals) or staff's feelings about current board (waning confidence in landing Christian Grey, for instance)?

no expert or savvy poster but if you felt good about your initial board you would have no need to expand. To your first point, would we have transitioned this early previously? I dont know timing of previous "round 2 offers" to say.

this guy aint a round 2 prospect. He could be a top 5 CB nationally for the 2023 class when all is said and done. He's blowing up, look at his recent offers

Yeah, saw those, didn't call him a plan B. I'm wondering whether those intimately acquainted with our big board see the expanded DB net as proactive or reactive.

I mean, I'm not "intimately acquainted with our big board" but it doesn't seem like an accident that we're putting out offers after losing our lone committed cornerback and seeing another we've been pretty in on (Grey) trending elsewhere.

I think it's proactive. You add quality players when the opportunity arises. Being proactive also protects you when you have to be reactive. MF has made a of of changes in recruiting and this is just another example IMO.

Singer said he’s no longer visiting.

In part or in large part due to him still being committed to TTU and not wanting to host prospects committed elsewhere.

CB recruiting is a little sus, if we’re being honest. It’s pretty much the only position that’s behind schedule.
