If he's "recruiting" him to get Sayin to sign quickly. Great job. Worked on Kyren with the Jirehl Brock offer.

If not, better not misstep chasing Lloyd Carr's grandson and lose Just Sayin. Tough optics to even try it.

I get it, but if ND believes Carr is the #1 QB in the country, which they do, they have to recruit him until or unless he stops showing interest. Maybe that happens if/when Dante Moore commits to ND.

I want to get excited, but it is a little difficult. Rees is HEAVILY involved here. Unless he reclassifies, I can't imagine Rees will even be in South Bend when Carr enrolls.

FWIW Carr has already discussed this with ND, I posted it in Rees’ thread because it’s relevant to more than Carr:

“I think that before this visit, it would have affected it a lot,” Carr said, when describing the impact on his recruitment if Rees were to leave Notre Dame. “But I think after this visit, coach Freeman preached that they're going to get the best guys in the country that they can (if/when assistants leave). I think that really affected me in a positive way.”

I must posit an amendment based on "Recency bias"
In the 60's we got, in the same year, touted O'Brien (Coley) and Hanratty
In the 70's we had "Blue Chippers" Forystek, Montana and Lisch on campus at the same time, and I think all three started in ;77.
in '80 we signed both great midwestern QBS Scott Grooms and Blair Kiel
In the late 80's and 90's we brought in both McDougall and a kid named BJ Hawkins in the same class.

But this is Notre Dame football.
