How many visits does it take before he commits? This will be his 7th?
Can't speak for Singer but the 17th was a one day visit. According to everyone's buddy Coach D, Tate will be at ND for multiple days now. Fair to assume this is why the change is good.Color me naive but can someone explain to me how him moving his visit up is "big news" for the Irish like Singer is insinuating?
Multiple days, with Momma Tate tooMultiple days is good, very good.
Loy said 1 day but bringing multiple family members and best friend.Multiple days, with Momma Tate too
That's Chicago livin Momma Tate
Thanks for clarifying. Not sure why BD would say multiple days but I trust Loy more.Loy said 1 day but bringing multiple family members and best friend.
He did say he was still looking into itThanks for clarifying. Not sure why BD would say multiple days but I trust Loy more.
Sure, it's possible but it's not expected by anyone. In ISD's update yesterday or today I forget, they said OSU has a slight lead.Any chance he commits tomorrow in person to Freeman? I mean with Moore likely heading to ND maybe he already knows and is pulling the trigger?
Because OSU doesn’t have a huge lead.If they have such a huge lead, why is he coming for yet another visit.
Maybe, maybe not.Because OSU doesn’t have a huge lead.
Brian Hartline + Tate's "dream school". Hard combo to beat.My read on the situation is that he is trying to leverage interest in ND into a larger NIL package from OSU. That's a cynical take, but I think it's weird that so many insiders quietly believe that Ohio State leads. That usually means that he is telling their coaches something.
The flip side of that is that maybe Ohio State isn't stepping up with the kind of money he expected and that's why he's open to ND, and ND is ultimately going to pull ahead and win this race.
I know that boosters are stepping up for players, but the administration (and most lawyers!) are convinced that Texas A&M and Tennessee "collective" deals for recruits are absolutely against the rules no matter how carefully their lawyers write the contracts. Many schools aren't fucking with that stuff right now because they expect it to implode in ~2 years.
To a person, not a single recruiting reporter I've talked with or texted with thinks Tate is coming to ND. They all think that Ohio State is his intention, and me reading between the lines is that he is trying to get someone to step up with $$$. I don't think that ND is playing the "collective" game, so unless they're able to put together some package + promise beyond anything I've heard of to date I think it's just tactics to drive up his value... no different than how "multiple offers" for a house causes its value to go up.Singer just said he doesn’t think Tate ends up at ND.
