Alli won't help them. He's not a winner. Shit attitude. I really would have considered taking a flyer on him and figured Klopp could have a good effect on the kid, but at this point, I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole.

I am looking forward to a motivated Mane and angry Salah with a fully fit squad going into spring for Liverpool. Still all to play for. Need a win tomorrow against Leicester to keep pace. Keep the young kids coming along, too. Get some contracts sorted out.
I'm mostly excited to see Pool play with adequate forward help. Can give the front 3 breathers as needed.

Ok I broke down and got paramount + so I can watch my SPFL matches without the constant fuss it usually takes to find games,… I think I just decide to cut the cord completely on cable,… paramount, espn+ for hockey and mlb tv,… and a good antenna and I think I’m set. Celts currently 2-0 on the Dons
I recently went to FUBO TV. There is never a time that soccer isn't on. It's fantastic.

Haven't had cable in years. Just recently got you tube tv and surprised at whats available for relatively cheap. Also have the disney+, HULU, ESPN+ package. This hits 85% of what I want to watch. With all this my cable +internet would be about $260/mo. With internet plus these streaming packages its like 60% of what my cable bill was

I broke down and got P+ for Serie A and UCL. Was fighting the urge while Serie A was on ESPN+, lived with seeing my two UCL games per year on TV lol, but once Serie A moved to P+ it became a no-brainer.

That second half was not nearly as fun as the first but they held on,…

Champions League and the new SPFL deal sold me on paramount+ as well

I’m so happy to have SPFL easily now,… no more having to suffer the English pub league unless Newcastle is playing,… fighting hesgoal links was getting tiresome

UCL does almost nothing for me anymore... the whole thing is just the same 6-7 teams destroying everyone else until they meet each other... that's fine for a year or two but not for decades on like it's looking... I'm good.

UCL does nothing for you? cant really understand people being allergic to watching the best players in the world.
To each their own... but I can watch the same players in international competitions without knowing 9/10 outcome(s) before the games start... my interest in watching any players wearing a Real/City/Bayern jersey in another UCL final is exactly zero.

I guess we are focused on different things, I want compelling story lines, something to peak my interest... an all start tourney with the same outcome for the 2 dozenth straight time has lost all effect on my ability to find anything of interest. With honesty, it also doesn't help the the fortunate few said all star teams are clubs I've always had distain for even before this dynamic became as overwhelming as it is now... I much prefer the MLS, USL, SPFL, and international competitions like the Gold Cup/World Cup. the big euro club stuff is just ugh to me for all the aforementioned reasons. Maybe that changes if Newcastle climbs the mountain the way most seem to feel they can in the coming years... we will see. I can't get into UCL at all much anymore, I'm at peace with that.

What find Luis Diaz is. Fitting right in already.
He looked like he's been playing at Anfield for ten years. Holy hell that first minutes was intense.

This team is fucking good.

Diogo Jota with 30 goals in 60 apps for LFC.

Last 9 players to score 30+ in their first 60 for the club:

Diogo Jota
Mo Salah
Daniel Sturridge
Fernando Torres
Michael Owen
Robbie Fowler
John Aldridge
Ian Rush
Kenny Dalglish

That's a serious list of names right there. Liverpool got Jota for a song from Wolves considering what some of these other guys have been going for the last few years. Might be Klopp's best signing.

When Burnley gets relegated, I doubt anyone is going to miss the trip to Turf Moor.

There is a considerable gap between the champions of England and champions of Portugal. That said, I'm not sure expanding this competition to include more teams is a good thing in terms of competitive balance and equity.

Meanwhile, Man United did not win a single tackle in the first half of their match against Brighton. An official stat. That's completely insane.

I can't think of many players I dislike more than Bruno Fernandes. It doesn't even look like he enjoys the game. He's just constantly pissing and moaning about something.

Re Bruno… can you blame him though…. How many teams did he pass over to join United only to have two/three different head coaches and be at best vying for a top four finish. Not to mention the quality of the players around him are excellent but they are playing like individuals and not a team. I’d be pissy too. You know who else has every right to be pissy? DeGea. I spent a few hours last the few days watching how bad the bollard Maguire is. Lindeloff wasn’t great either but fuck me running that dude is so bad for what they paid.

I could care less who is pissy on that club. They deserve all of this misery and then some.

Better Champions League matches yesterday than Tuesday.

Honestly can't recall the last time I saw Real Madrid lay back and play defensively over the course of a match like they did versus PSG. How the mighty have fallen.

Bayern lost over the weekend away in the Bundesliga to a team they hadn't lost to in 18 years and looked very human again yesterday against Salzburg.

Diaz opens his account. Thiago is awesome. Firmino out a bit, Jota not as bad as expected. Still alive on all four fronts. Leeds up next.
