Notre Dame could be hiring a former Miami head coach as their next DC.
I have no problem with that. As Catholics we should want to give the reprobates & sinners the chance to redeem themselves for their transgressions. Plus, if he's a solid recruiter and good with Xs and Os, well, I can't speak for Touchdown Jesus, but I think He would approve.

That entire coaching search and hire at Auburn was a shitshow full of rancor and multiple parties fighting each other tooth and nail. Auburn, like several others, has WAY too many people trying to run that program. At least when Dye was there, he could handle the different factions and keep them more or less rowing in the same direction most of the time. Now? It's a disaster and getting worse. Apparently, most of the big money boosters didn't want Harsin and are determined to see him go. I don't think there's much chance he survives.

Auburn's gonna Auburn. At any given time, most of the boosters hate each other's guts, hate the AD, hate the HC, and are working to undermine all of them and each other. It's been that way since Dye had to step down. It's a redneck version of GOT with a guy in a goofy tiger costume instead of dragons. And all cheered on by the most insecure and cult-like fanbase in sports.
Well the reason that Alabama wins is because they have a

C. Nick Saban

Otherwise the whole state is full of cheaters, half of whom profess to follow Christ.

My evidence?

Here you go:

The rumor of an affair between former Auburn coach Terry Bowden and Catherine Struble, daughter of Colonial Bank President Bobby Lowder, was such a hot topic that Bowden and his wife, Shryl, had to issue a statement Tuesday.

In May 1999, rumor leaked out on the Internet that DuBose was accused of having an affair with Deborah Gibson, his secretary.

Naughty texts and burner phones shamed Republican Governor Robert Bentley. He resigned paving the way for the hegemony of Kay Ivey.

Roy Ten Commandments Hypocrite Jones looking for coochie with teenagers at local malls.

And now the latest dirtbag, the unvaccinated Bryan Harsin bringing in imported coochie from Idaho, which, apparently is "famous" for more than Potatoes

And Bryan’s wife has not yet figured out that “gullible” is not in the dictionary.

And then there’s the sneaky lying bigamist Rush Probst, the pride of Hoover. Rush’s morals suck too.

Lot of cheatin’ in Bama,

Bama is full of evangelical phonies like Roy Moore.

C. Nick Saban? Just a good CAtholic boy,

He has principles

Bentley,. Dubose, Moore, Bowden, Harsin, Propost are simply the scum of the earth, which,. it appears, is de rigeur in alabama. .

I drove through Alabama a couple of times. Had to take a LONG shower to get the filth off.

Send one Catholic, like C. Nick Saban, and good things happen.

I feel pretty safe in asserting that you could easily find a similar list of low-lifes, cheaters, phonies, con men, and other morally bankrupt people in any state, religion, sport, or almost any walk of life.

Didn't Auburn hire an OC from the Seahawks and the dude already resigned?

It's funny that everyone thought Mason was an idiot for leaving, then we find out all this is brewing behind the scenes AND he took a pay cut to get out of there. Dude ain't dumb.

Ok. I haven't cheated on my wife and I'm not judging him. We can move on though.

I am judging you, we all judge one another. It is impossible not too.

The sacrament of marriage is not to be taken lightly. I will say at least you did not delete it and try to cower.

Yes, but he made it sound like a personal issue and that he wasn't planning on coaching this year.

Which may be the only thing he can say and do if he's quitting because of Harsin. Time will tell.

Yes. "Cheating on your spouse" is the one the few things that a super-majority of Americans still agree is morally wrong and worthy of public condemnation.

Just take the L and move on.
I kinda have to wonder about this poll. 79% of people think it's morally wrong to not report all income on taxes?? 100% of the people I know lie and skirt on taxes, to some extent. Now, granted, people aren't necessarily not reporting 500k in income, but they definitely don't report garage sale income, indulge their charitable giving, fudge the sale value of a used car, or aren't claiming the night they accidentally made 40 bucks when they all chipped in on a game or a gift and paid you back for fronting the cost. And the list could go on and on.

I mean, people spend literally billions of dollars a year in order to pay LESS taxes. I have a hard time believing 79% of Americans truly believe this to be morally wrong.

Tax evasion (illegal) vs tax avoidance and deferral (legal) are completely different. No one is spending money to evade taxes lmao.

Harbaugh hired Jesse Minter from Vanderbilt as his new DC.

Minter, of course, coached with the Ravens prior to Vanderbilt. Sensing a pattern here.

We really don't give AF. You've already admitted it only takes a good looking girl and a favorable power dynamic and you'd slip the wedding ring off with little thought.

Cool, now we know exactly who you are.
No I haven't and I wouldn't. I just won't judge him.

You know, like Jesus! I hope you're able to come down from your anger at the joke though.

Strange that people feel like a message board is the place to pump their moral chest cause a stranger made a joke and said "I ain't judging him". I didn't delete it because I'm not concerned about what I said.

No shit.

The original point still stands.

Your premise is based in that people pay billions to pay less taxes is the same as tax evasion. It's not. Public perception is basically "Unreported income = bad, holdco dividend planning = good".

No, that was one point.

You read what you wanted to, and then decided it was the premise.

I make moral judgements everywhere. Not pumping my chest out, just question how a person finds it morally justifiable to do such an action. But in a world where subjectivity reins supreme I guess I should not be surprised. 8 billion truths and all.

Lol, just like Jesus. I remember when Jesus said, "damn, if i was in the C suite and had a chick like that around me, I'd smash but I shan't cast the first stone"

STFU with this word-mincing bullshit.

No shit.

And it's still a very dumb point. Toronto pointed out your conflation and you disregarded with a strange veracity.

It really is a profession of entitled scumbags who get paid too much money and are typically not held accountable for the dumb crap they do. They get rewarded with another job that pays them millions because they can cheat when they recruit and win games.

Bobby Petrino kept getting jobs. Still has one.

There's no conflation on my part. Hence, it didn't need to be pointed out in the first place. The comment of spending billions of dollars to pay less in taxes came after the numerous examples I gave of people not reporting all their for income for taxes, and also after I qualified it prior. Your assumption that I don't understand my own post is an error on your part, and quite correctly, a dumb point to try and make.

The question in the poll is rather black and white, as well as the answers. By way of hundreds of different occurrences, people do not report all their income on their taxes. Sometimes it is done on purpose, sometimes it is done on accident, out of ignorance, or even perhaps innocently. Whatever the case may be, it is still people not reporting all of their income. Thus, my wonder about the poll.

It is ok for people to wonder about, question, ask, criticize, scrutinize, or perhaps even doubt a very specific question, with limited answers, in an undated poll. If I need clarification or permission to do so in the future, I will be sure to seek out your and Toronto's approval though. 👍

You have correctly stated the teaching of Christ, which, for some of us, transcends whatever the Church of Rome says..

This is Matthew 9:13:

“Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

Further, from Luke 5:31-32"

31 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

What is often missed, in the modern American perversions (twists is the root of the word) of Christ's specific teaching is that the mercy is conditioned upon repentance, as in "go and sin no more." The Luke passage mentions repentance, but in so many other instances Christ spells it out.

Christ
His Gospels.
Accept NO substitute

It's a process and not a GOLDEN TICKET.

While the estimable Bork may differ, my marker was when America first elected a divorced person as president.

That was one step toward the moral outhouse and signalled an official sanctioned end to family values.

If things get bad enough we'll probably someday elect a whoremongering, mutliple divorcee, but I doubt that that could happen in "Christian" America.

For now though, no mkultiple marriages and whoremongering at Notre Dame du lace, an island in the stream.

The soft tyranny of low expectations.

And incorrect.

I have a book recommendation for you:

"Slouching toward Gomorrah" Interesting Author.

Meanwhile you are "Leading the nation in excuses" I once hear Digger Phelps say that at an ND hoops practice.

But you are incorrect and fact devoid.
