Caleb Williams (actually his dad) is trying to extract as much money as possible out of USC. Bluffing hard, it’s kind of pathetic. But if USC blinks I could actually see him head somewhere else. The problem is that basically all top schools with proven coaches and playmakers who could/would bid don’t need a QB.

Its sad that Dart hasn’t already landed elsewhere. Honestly, there isn’t much difference between the two of them in talent.

Sorry but how is it sad? He’s been visiting places. Could commit to OU or Ole Miss right now if he wanted to.

I truly don’t think Caleb Williams gives a **** about NIL.

It’s going 1-1 in the Draft. Lincoln Riley would seem the most likely pair to make that happen, and that’s what they thought coming out of HS but if they somehow are convinced or someone is willing to do things to convince another school is better, he’ll go there.

I just doubt anyone can overcome Lincoln’s rep to make that happen.

Chris Hummer who does the Portal stuff for 247 said today he thinks CW between family already having money and him potentially having some unannounced NIL deals he already has gotten himself, NIL really isn’t gonna be a leverage point it is with others school decision wise

An interesting note he also mentioned on the Cover 3 pod today, the advantage that certain schools have just based off their academic calendar (staring late or quarter system) in transfers is absurd. Talk about exploiting a purely academic facet.

Could be true but there's this pattern I've noticed with people who have money. They want more.

True and in Caleb’s Dad’s vision that comes at the 2024 NFL Draft. The short term needed isn’t there though like schools can dangle it for others.

Has anyone stopped to consider that maybe his family just really loves cheese?

LOL, was going to post the same thing. You can never have enough. The NFL isn't a guarantee either, so grab a much as you can, when you can.

I think I’d rather play against a couple of times than possibly see him give BK a ship at LSU.

How does that make sense tho? Why would you rather be guaranteed the hurdle of Caleb Williams every year vs. maybe seeing him in the playoff or watching CBK and LSU ride him to a natty? I don't care what LSU does. I'd rather them prosper than SC. SC is a direct impact to us, LSU isn't.

It’s just how I feel. Never liked LSU or BK all that much so it makes it easier to feel that way. In all honesty, I also want USC to do well 11 out of the 12 games a year. Makes it look better when we come in and beat them. I would also rather see USC compete for a Natty more than I would LSU. Also- the specific hurdle of Caleb Williams will only last two years.

Are people 100% sure that Williams is actually better than Jackson Dart?

I am. Williams scares the shit outta me. He was going to passing camps in high school where he was far and away the best passer and that's not even his biggest strength. I want no part of seeing him the next 2 years. Jackson Dart feels more like the budget version of CW.

Idk Dart has an X in his first name which is pretty bad ass. Might give him the nod.

Jason Dart vs Top 50 D:
- vs ASU: 8/17, 1 INT

Caleb Williams vs Top 50 D:
- vs Ok State: 20/39, 3 TDs
- vs Baylor: 9/18, 2 INTs
- vs Iowa St: 8/18, 1 TD, 1 INT

The biggest myth out there is people absurdly down on Buchner and acting like guys like this are sure thing stars already and he’s a bust. CW certainly shows “it” but he was basically a runner who throw bombs and looked like a confused deer against Baylor. The 2021 class in general is just very raw, Buchner included.

The biggest pro that above illustrates is the conference to face now to face zero defense is the Pac 12, not the Big 12

I don’t think it’s that absurd. We basically saw nothing from him this season. He was relegated to gadget duty and I think it’s pretty understandable that some people took that as an indication of the coaches confidence in him.

I think that takeaway is fair to basically confirm we don’t know what we have in Buchner yet. But some gravitate to the extreme critique on the Buchner side, and extreme praise on his peers side. To overly critique the guy who hasn’t played and kinda look away at the bad of the guys who have is just odd to me. Lincoln was more reluctant to go to CW than BK was in some regard. ND fans should have booed Coan, spied on practice and chanted for Tyler if they really wanted his shot I guess haha.

On Mike Singers weekly update video, him and Tyler Horka discussed recent transfers out of the program, but also potential transfers in. Most of what they had to say was purely speculative about additions, but Tyler brought up a few names.

Cam Johnson and Amir Abdur-Rahman from Vanderbilt, C. J. Lewis from Boston College and Chase Cota from UCLA. Horka said that Oregon is pushing hard for Cota, where he has visit set up for this or next weekend. Being from Oregon, it wouldn't be surprising to see him finish his career in Eugene.

The other names are intriguing. All, at some point in their careers, have had a decent season. Johnson is probably the most impressive statistically: 1200+ yards and 10 TDs. C. J. Lewis was a big target for PJ at BC in 2020, too.

Nothing substantial or concrete to go off of, just some names they tossed around. But, it's exciting to speculate nonetheless.

Did we kick tires on taj Harris? From cuse to Rutgers doesn't seem like much of a difference.

All day this. If you dream of ever winning a national championship in the next 10-15 years, the worst possible thing that could happen is BK winning a championship at LSU. It would be confirmation to all top recruits that I can’t go to ND and expect to win a championship.

On the flip side, BK falling out fast at LSU would be a good thing too. Destroys the SEC media bias a bit and gives ND some more props for those past to LSU victories. My guess is he competes though, unless the new staff doesn't pan out.
