I think it really goes without saying that guys usually transfer with the hope of getting (more) playing time at their new school.

Guys aren't usually champing at the bit to uproot, move, and transfer to ride the pine. Benches are pretty much the same at every school. No need to transfer to experience sitting on a new bench.
