I just looked up Saban's college career. It is fairly average until he gets to Bama.
His NFL career is comparable to Urban's 2021 in terms of being a joke.
Definitely a great coach when he has a totally overwhelming amount of talent compared to his opponent though.

Jimmy Clausen to Michael Floyd once upon a time…

Would have been a lot scarier had Jimmy been throwing behind an OL with an average 247 composite rating of .9384 like 'Bama is currently fielding.

When he took MSU down to play LSU in a bowl game he saw that teams in the south like LSU had elite talent that he could never hope to attract to East Lansing. Not too long after, DiNardo was canned & Saban headed south to wake up a sleeping giant. The rest is history as every coach who has followed him thus far on the Bayou has won a NC.

He's a failure if I've ever seen one.

Sounds like sour grapes. He failed in the NFL like hundreds before him & after him…incl quite a few ND coaches. Dude is a legend. He’s doing at Bama what Dubose, Franchione, Price & Shula couldn’t do before him. Hell even RichRod turned Bama down to stay at WVU for more money.

Can't tell if serious or just trolling.

He capped his tenure at MSU in 1999 with a 10-2 record, which was the Spartans best record since 1965 at the time. Won a title at LSU. Nearly made the playoffs during his first season leading the Dolphins. And even in 2006, he was far more successful than Meyer with the Jags.

He didn't have the opportunity to stockpile unfair levels of talent at any of those three locations. Saban is indisputably the GOAT CFB coach.

Would or has ND ever traveled the way scUM & tOSU do to CFP games?

What are the odds Young wins the Heisman again next year? He's so damn good and he's surrounded by crazy talent. Probably the best shot at a 2x winner in a while.

You cant be serious? That is a dumb thing to say.

"Exactly. He is obviously the most successful college coach but his career is tarnished by the fact of so much stock piling. He isn’t up for a challenge. That’s why he quit the NFL like a quitter."

Man. Cincy is playing pretty good. If Bama keeps letting them hang around could get interesting.

Saban is the best college coach of all time. I guess italics are needed even if painfully obvious. The guy is a machine.

Can you be the greatest ever and not be an ass though?

Definitely the best odds in a long time, but somehow it just never works out. I don't think anyone has followed up a Heisman win with another season worthy of one, but I also think voters would demand you CLEARLY deserve it to give you a 2nd one. He'll likely have another very good season, but probably not an epic season worthy of a 2nd trophy.

I can not believe Cincinnati is putting up a better fight against Alabama than we could the last two times we played them.

That statement is completely fair and true.

This Alabama team is not near as good as the teams that we played against. Remember, they should have lost to Auburn and lost to A&M. They are flawed.
