BK said when they recruit DB's the look for 3 things......"What we’re talking about are two things, makeup speed, the ability to run and length. The third is to have the ability to play the ball in the air. That’s three. But first and foremost length and speed are the two most important attributes at the position that, in which we were seeking this year".

this was from his press conference yesterday....so Henderson certainly fits that

I think everyone wants corners with elite speed, length and ball skills, but I'm not sure ND has the luxury of being picky. They "shop down a different aisle" for recruits and the supply of corners with all three traits has been limited for the last three decades or so, and similar to Diaco's dream of having 6'5'' linebackers, I'm not sure the staff can make this a reality.

I'd be thrilled with any elite corner regardless of length tbh.

This just wasn't a very good year for pure corners with lofty rankings, particularly ones that ND had a legit shot of landing. I think Kimber and Phillips were it, and I believe Kimber had some hurdles to overcome for him to get in.

So I like the idea of ND going after lengthy athletic guys and coaching them up. I just wish it didn't come in a year where we kind of need the help at corner. Somebody needs to step up.

Best HJ I've had since 2010 was this cougar I met in Scottsdale. Still can't believe I couldn't land a LJ.

Henderson/Watts duo offers considerable upside moving forward. Obviously long way to go with both but the physical traits are there and they've both shown the ability to make plays so far.

He looks very good tonight. I understand we aren’t getting the full offense but he is getting valuable game time.

Henderson should be starting over Houston Griffith from here on out. I hate making these claims but for some reason, Griffith has been cursed by the FB gawds. He has balls fumbled into his hands and he can't hang onto them. He just isn't what we need and I'm glad he stuck it out and gave us one more year. But the future is now.

And Henderson has range and fairly good make up speed. Almost dropped the int, glad he held on enough

Something I thought was great is that he had excellent one-on-one coverage on a couple of deep balls. Very encouraging.

He’s long and fast. Was quick and decisive getting upfield into the backfield. And showed that speed getting over for that INT. Another offseason of that, maybe we got what we need already on campus.

That INT was something. He took bad angle, flipped hips, then hesitated on ball read, and still covered the ground to dive and snag an overthrown ball.

Impressive debut.

Thought he might be a poach target for Del but a 10.5 safety puts the other QB on notice that lazy deep balls will not stand.

Yeah he's got a lot of range and needs to be groomed as a FS. Think we need to pursue 1-2 DB transfers this offseason, especially to shore up CB.

Comes in at 24th in II’s rankings.

S is going to be an interesting depth chart to watch during Fall Camp.
A lot of names for the spot next to Joseph. If Griffith and DJ Brown are the floor that is a pretty healthy position.

Good luck, Ramon. I hope this means Watts is returning.
Our NIL package should be substantial. We already play DMX in the stadium when he makes plays, he would be a face of the program this offseason. Not a polished safety yet so another year of tape can boost NFL stock for sure, as he's draftable right now but doesn't feel like a day 1 or 2 guy yet.

This is terrible for the depth.

I don’t get why people expect guys with 1 year of eligibility left to stay at ND when they were going to be backups. While it’s great for ND that they would stay, not many kids would rather be back ups than have a chance to start in their last year, even if it’s at a lower level.
