I'm falling in love with this year's team.
7-1 in a rebuild year is pretty awesome.
Defense is having it's issues with a certain personnel group, but I'm trusting the process.
It's been fun!

I love that they keep working 12 in the games getting him ready for Columbus next year.

Most of us expected a better product on both sides of the ball. Luckily, we also expected the schedule to be much tougher. Instead our opponents have all under achieved giving this Irish squad a chance to adjust to a new OL, multiple injuries, QB shuffling & a new DC.

This is still a 10-2 team IMO. At least one loss is looming. If I had to guess today, I’d say it’s UVA. They’re still good enough to pull off an 11-1 season & they’re still vulnerable enough to finish 9-3.

this is all correct. And not once do they give you any comfortable enough moment to breathe in a game. Its like a high speed lane shift flying down 80/94 every Saturday against mostly unranked and less talented opponents. A certain level of consternation is appropriate

There's no excuse for this team to not finish 11-1. None.

Virginia certainly has a good passing offense, but their defense is record setting levels of inept. Like, UNC's defense is bad, but Virginia's defense is several times worse than them.

They've been woeful against a very average BYU offense.

S&P+ had us at 14 before the game today so we will probably move up a few slots. I don't think many expected us to be much better than the 10th best team in the country pre-season.

I must be an offense minded fan because I was happy with today and think we are a much better team than a month ago even thought the D was bad and is worse than a month ago.
Full credit to Coach Quinn for turning the line on the last 3 weeks after a horrid start.
Williams and all the youth on offense is very exciting.

This looks way more likely if Armstrong’s injury keeps him out. He is a scoring machine

If ND was into taking 2 QB's back in the day, BA woulda been an easy #2 acquisition behind 5*Phil.

Camped with Sanford as a to be Jr and visited for at least one, maybe two games in '16.

Rees and Long lost his #. Which is fine cuz he's no Kenny Pickett or Jay Cutler or Philip Rivers or Jim McMahon or Doug Flutie or... ________ .

If notre dame took all your recruiting suggestions I would have way less being pissed off watching northwestern stars get drafted. Newsom comes to mind and maybe a skoronski or at oline.

Every week I grow more frustrated at the loss to Cincinnati. This team could be on track to 12-0 if we hadn't beaten ourselves. Cincinnati is not a very good team.

This is what BK keeps alluding to when he says "wish we'd have been smarter", "we were dumb" regarding offense and going up tempo sooner.

Is Kyren the first RB taken this draft? I think that he has a good shot.

Shame on Bertrand for the club to the head in a massive momentum opportunity. The crowd was getting hyped and UNC was ripe for a punt. That penalty could’ve cost us the game. We have to be smarter in that situation.

Lorenzo Styles should start the rest of the year regardless of Lenzys health. He’s produced more in two months than Lenzy has in 4 years.

Kyren is my favorite ND player of all time. I’m going to keep saying it every week. Gonna miss him next year.

Im happy for Jack Coan. Seems like an awesome dude and a great teammate and he’s figured it out.

Im glad Rees has finally figured out the offense strengths. It was clear long developing plays wasn’t the answer and the quick uptempo was. It’s fixed a lot of issues.

This is the first time all season I’m scared about Freeman and the defense. From start to finish we got outplayed, out coached and didn’t seem to have any answers to stop UNC. Just like I said in week 2 that it needed to be all hands on deck to fix the O line, it needs to be all hands on deck to fix the defense.

The linebacker injuries are now coming back to hurt us. Drew White and Bertrand look tired as hell and they still have 4 games left to go. Need to figure out a better rotation.

He'll drop in the draft cuz of his size and prolly not running the 40 well enough... Bottom line is dude is a football player and I'd take him on my team all day

Cincy is a good team. Just not as good as the top 3 and if they get in will fight admirably to a loss similar to ours last year against bama

That run by Kyren was probably the best offensive play I’ve seen by an ND player in the Kelly era. Only other play that sticks out is Will Fuller dapping up Adoree Jackson than burning him deep.

Wonder if the underline has anything to do with the bold...

What an entertaining game to watch. Jack Coan had his best game as the ND QB tonight - and that scramble!

Kyren is unbelievable. I am so glad the young guys have someone like him to mentor them. His desire to be great is an amazing attribute.

Kyle Hamilton is good - this game showed how good he he is.

Tommy Rees called a really good game. Still a few scratch my head moments but overall he had a really good plan.

Go Irish!

Kyren is averaging 140 yards a game for 6.3 YPC the last 3 weeks. The offensive line has given up 4 total sacks over that time for 1.33/game.

In contrast to the first 5 weeks, Kyren averaged 57 yards on 3.7 YPC. The offensive line gave up a total of 22 sacks for 4.4/game.

Oline improving, but D still has its question marks with or without KH. We should run the rest of the schedule. 11-1 during a rebuild?

Hopefully other LBs can get reps next week, otherwise they are going to be absolutely beat going into the UVA game.

It looked like a tacky call to me. He leapt to try to deflect the ball and came down on the QB.

Besides Howell was outside the pocket and those QB protection rules aren't supposed to apply anymore.
