My wife's hospital is paying $10k sign on bonuses to nurses for a two year commitment and $2500 referral bonus to any current employees who refer someone they hire. They are paying an additional $500 bonus each shift the nurses work outside of their regular schedule.
My wife entertained the notion of quitting and just taking some travel assignments but decided to stay for insurance, stability, logistics, and I have three kids under the age of 5. Once they get a little older she may make the change.
