Gonna be dicey vs USC as Evans is out for the first half due to the targeting vs VT. We'll only have Mayer and Takacs and Mayer is being "managed".

They did say Bauman was "on schedule" so there's an outside chance he'll be ready for SC.

Our injuries this year have all seemed to come at the same positions. ILB, LT, and TE

Can't that be reviewed? ND should push for that. It was a pretty weak call, he didn't lower or position himself to target at all.

Hope Cane recover quickly and well. Sounds like he was catching his footing pretty well.

Really impressed with this last class of kids we got. A lot of youngins' pushing for time.

Weak nothing. It was downright negligent by the officials.

If I'm Jack, I'm up the ACC's ass about this officiating. It needs to be fixed. Officiating in general is bad, but this is getting ridiculous. Every time, literally EVERY TIME, we get ACC officials, it's like this.

I thought I read that he may be back for the USC game.

BK always give hopeful outlooks and next thing you know, the kid is out for the season. Even the beat writers know not to take him seriously when discussing injuries. I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

Dad said on 247 right before Cane got hurt Hamilton had been telling McNulty that Berrong needs to play because they can’t cover him

And yet IE is wringing its hands over losing a slot receiver to WVU who may never have seen the field at ND anyway due to the 12 personnel we'll be running.
and a kid that isn't even playing WR in HS and possibly will end up as a DB in college lol

why i never cared had he (rodney) committed or not...i'm tired of trying to get converted qb's, rb's etc to be wr's and then when they don't see the field it's because they haven't been "coached up"...we keep trying to find a unicorn that just gets it and learns quickly....we don't seem to have such luck..

All due respect Whiskey, but if a man can’t get up in arms about the lack of a Davonte Neal-type player, what the hell is this all about?
I mean IE is all about us refusing to let go of the little teenage girl emotions,… no matter how middle aged man we all get,… when it comes to those ‘lil bitch whining about cfb’ moments,… we won’t ever let go Jack,… we won’t ever let go.

Z WRs, the ultimate luxury item!
I really miss having a guy like CJ Williams, slower than our TEs but at least he’s also smaller

Avery Davis is a pretty good counter example though

if this is the best counter, this is what I'm talking about...is he decent, yes...but coaches certainly aren't game planning around him...not a knock, but just a reflection how freaking terrible wr recruiting has been

The kid who plays a wildcat QB but projects as a WR is rather common. Especially if his high school is not good. Gallagher played more WR his sophomore year. Not sure the plans for his senior year. Kadarius Toney would be an example

Any word on how is is looking been quiet on his front
good but nothing out of this world. H back type who can catch and block. But Bauman, Rairdon and Staes all have been more impressive. The two frosh are just more naturally gifted so it seems like they will eventually pass Berrong if they haven't already.

Parker also said Cane is still working to get 100% healthy.

#NDFootball TE
@CaneBerrong
is still "getting healthy" per Gerad Parker as he comes back from torn ACL in practice on 10/12/21. Parker added he's "really encouraged" by what he's seen from RS freshman and Hartwell, GA product with "great ball skills."

Sounds like he's very gifted from a technical standpoint, but even healthy he's just a different athlete compared to the rest of the room. Could be a weapon in a pinch.

The injury he sustained in his freshman year really set him back. He was behind Mayer, Bauman, Evans, Staes & Raridon. Even with Mayer leaving & Raridon's injury, he still would have been fourth on the depth chart.

He's a talented dude, but he just needs to right fit.

A lot of people called this one. I still think he would have seen the field a little bit. Good luck to him where ever he goes.

When he committed it was over offers from UGA/Clemson. He was the #1 TE at some point iirc. Bummer to see it not work out for him, but we haven't been hurting at TE.
