Just went to Oregon/247 and the Wiltfong story on Sneed choosing between Oregon & ND didn't even break the Top 10 on the Trending Now board.

That gets five (Brian) Kelly green dancing bananas, one for each star of his IE 5* rating.

I have zero hope that ND actually has a shot at Xavier Nwankpa.

Idk why you all are torturing yourselves with hope lol

Confucius once said that torturing oneself with hope is preferable to a hair shirt i remain hopeful while thou remain hopeless

So, let's say Oregon gets Anderson and Moss but we get Sneed and Merriweather. Would anyone take Oregon's duo over ours?

No. Ours is better.
Everyone would take Merriweather over Anderson and I personally would rather Sneed to Moss.

This, absolutely on both. Probably not all that close on either.

Oregon’s future LB and WR room versus ours might be a more competitive prompt. Probably expect to see them in more battles as long as Cristobal is there due to his bigger emphasis on trenches and our WR recruiting looking West somewhat often

Nope. Moss is just showing off at this point.

Ford, Gobiara & Agu followed by the '23 guys are more than enough.

Anderson (though a GREAT addition in any class over the past 5 cycles) couldn't make my Top 5 Realistic's this cycle.

Sneed & Merriweather are the best prospects at their positions (IMO) since Jaylon & Javon. No I didn't forget JJ.

I recall you were high on Javon.
Do you put his underwhelming career down to the injury he got early on (I realise this has probably been asked and answered multiple times in other threads), because we are all hoping Merrirweather signs and far exceeds Javon's career.

Injuries, falling behind his two classmates, Claypool & Stepherson and solid production from the big WR's ahead of him all conspired to stop him from meeting expectation. Still his production per target in '19 & '20 was impressive.

I've seen a lot of great players but I just can't see how anyone ever matches McKinley's Jr year at Centennial.

Agree with that. He had some big games and one very memorable TD against someone small (can't recall who). His was a pretty good comeback story.

Since you read Rivals, have you seen the posts from the AD out in Sneed’s area about the situation?
There is some interesting things he and others from out there have said.

Could have missed some but yeah I saw a string of posts. He didn’t think he was a 5 star type player

Yeah. Going way back to the spring I was out there in the area on vacation & have another buddy out there who mentioned that the local coaches thought Sneed was a camp warrior & soft when he put the pads on. So I was curious and watched his film & he definitely looked a completely different player in pads. So I mentioned that to a couple buddies & one said he knows the AD out there who is a ND guy & on the boards, but doesn’t post. And that AD thought Sneed would dominate at the camps over the summer (which he did), but was not what people thought he was.
Then last week (I believe Tuesday) he finally posted on the board & said Sneed committed to a coaching staff that day. When people asked him who he was, he just committed he was very close with Sneed’s entire athletic department. When you look at his name, he indeed is an AD out there. Then he was asked to elaborate on his view & he said he didn’t want to say anything bad about Sneed because he likes him & thinks he’s a great kid, but questioned him at ND.

I know nothing about the situation, but I will be ecstatic if we get Sneed.

The exact same thing was said about Jeff Burris when he decided to leave the state and play for Holtz. SC people hate losing elite kids to out of state schools and it’s just sour grapes

Everybody is entitled to their opinion but I can watch the film and see for myself that I don’t think he lacks physicality.

His coach, who knows Freeman, moves him from LB to the DL last year but he’s soft? Or, lacks physicality? It doesn’t add up.
