The worst attack on our country, more heinous than 9/11! Such an evil insurrection that no shots were fired, they were working with police to peacefully assemble, and they left when the National Guard asked them to leave. They almost ended democracy!

Do you have video evidence of these guys attacking police or Congress members? These are two of the poster boys they've used to condemn the protest and they're clearly complying with the officers, they're not violent, and they're encouraging the others to remain peaceful. Mainstream media posted their faces over all their articles like they were barbarians, the video shows otherwise.

I still think people that forced their way into the Capitol should spend time in jail, but the whole evil insurrection story has been exaggerated from day one.

I don't know anybody on this forum that was for or supported the riot, but the hyperbole from the left to always try and elevate some things is one reason, we can't get much accomplished.

The actions of a few hundred morons don’t define 75 million people or whatever it was. Nobody defends this. The gop didn’t wait for polling data to condemn it. Pence didn’t promote bail relief for the moose man. Nobody dismissed it as just an idea.

I watched on Jan 6 in real time- it was dumb but far from violent and also over in a couple of hours. Very unremarkable in real time. We have a full year of violent, destructive protests leading up to that - real violence and destruction not this Jan 6 Buffalo Bill shit. Nothing like the Kavanaugh protests or the mob outside the White House after the ACB event. Or a Republican baseball practice for that matter (btw the FBI claiming they don't know motive on that guy and we should trust them on anything?). And the only murder was the still unidentified Capitol Police officer that shot an unarmed woman. Where is the police brutality crowd on that one?

The real story is how many of these people are being held in custody without charges and supposedly how they are being held in isolation and treated like garbage. Any reasonable person knows that 99% of them were just part of the herd following the people in front of them.
