Is there talk on the paid boards that Quinn may take a GT?

All the beat guys keep saying that it's an option if they find the right player, but haven't heard any specific names

I saw the staff follow there and was wondering. Now I see some media people in there too.

If he wants in, absolutely. He's all about the NFL draft and he's Top 2-4 interior OL on most boards.

Oh idk if we have interest I just assumed that was what you were hinting at and saw FSU does.

The Gibbons transfer does in a way open the door though, you’re having one guy out and one guy in and not bringing in someone that’l be here longer than Gibbons would have been it shouldn’t ruffle much feathers.

Someone said RG because he doesn't pull as much or move laterally as well. I guess the left is the dominant run-side?

And I'm sure this is a foolish question but why does everyone think Lugg will start at T over Baker?

Mainly because of the talk that the staff says Lugg's best position is RT, coupled that with Baker underperforming a bit in the Spring Game and I just thought it made sense.

Kristofic, Spindler, Lugg, Patterson for 1 of the 2 OG spots

I wouldn’t count out Baker at RT. He’s got a higher ceiling than Lugg. One of the ISD guys also thought his poor performance in the Blue Gold game was overblown and easily correctable.

Agreed I just excluded him since when healthy near the end of spring practice it was Fisher - Rocco - Correll - Kristofic - Lugg. But Baker as a whole his criticism has definitely been overblown.

I think before Madden in deciding Lugg/Patterson the staff might have leaned what’s most comfortable for Lugg. Now I think you go what maximizes Patterson

a lot of possible combos come out if Patterson is in play at C

I’m sure the staff has a firm eval but one easy thing we can take from BK today, BK never talked about Gibbons pushing Patterson back to C, or Spindler, or Kristofic or Lugg. So that gives us a clear floor. His ceiling likely isn’t actually 2nd Team AA but I think it paints some sort of picture

BTW, I did catch some of his views regarding Madden on Twitter and I can see where he's coming from. For phone booth blocking, he's gonna excel. You start asking him to get out in space or covering ground in general, he's not going to look like the AA everyone is expecting to join the room this fall.
