My understanding is we were going to give him until early signing day to make a decision. If and when that day passes and he doesn't pledge his commitment, we move on to the MSU pledge. If anyone knows better, please speak up.

Thanks guys. Hopefully there's more traction than I'm seeing if we're going to hold the spot a couple more weeks.

If he doesn't make it, how quickly do we think the dominoes fall and we get one of the other RBs on board? Would love to lock down another quality RB and not get left with an open spot.

Sounds more and more like a bang bang deal. If he doesn’t make it this weekend, ND takes the commitment of AE. I’d guess by Monday.

Edit: oops, didn’t see the responses prior to mine.

Imagine losing out to Shipley, getting Diggs, losing out to Edwards, and losing Diggs and Estime in the waiting process.

I trust the staff 100%, but won't lie about it being anxiety inducing. lol

Losing Diggs? Is that something that has come up that I’m not aware of?

***no***

I should revise that, I was speaking in a hypothetical worse case disaster situation where he got upset about the other 3 rbs we're pushing for.

He is 28th in Louisiana in rushing. He also has 2 fumbles. Stats clearly aren't everything, but his speed is average as well as his size. Everything about Diggs spells average. But I am not getting paid to recruit so that pretty much makes me a run of the mill complainer regarding Diggs offer.

Louisiana HSFB > Michigan HSFB all day every day.

Sounds like he's deciding within the next week or so? Seems like nobody has a clue where he's going.

Reading the tea leaves: 85% Michigan, 10% Georgia, 5% ND. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been stringing us along similar to Braiden McGregor. We know Michigan commits like to play these games.

85% Mich. Is he just afraid of competition? Mich hasnt been good in years. Is he really dumb enough to swallow the "return to excellence" sales pitch?

Mich fans aren’t too confident, I don’t think anyone is about his decision.

I'd say we got a fair number of recruits with that pitch through the years.

I don't think he's intentionally leading on ND because he's a UM fan. This would be over already if OSU took him or had space for him. So, going to UM's rival in OSU doesn't scream closet UM fan. I think he wants to stay close to home but UM is a dumpster fire and it's making his decision difficult.

Then shouldn't that put ND in second over Georgia??

You’re probably right, but he’s also Braylon Edwards’ nephew. I’m sure he’s heard a lot of anti-Notre Dame slander over the years.

I mean, if he's deciding in the next week and couldn't be bothered to schlepp to South Bend, I think our chances are remote.

I think he was just holding off until Michigan made a final coaching decision, and now his concerns have been assuaged.

Yea and I think it does. I think this is another 2nd place finish by default.

My complete guess would be he doesn't want UM because of dumpster fire. He doesn't want ND because of experience or everything he's been told about the experience. But...he wants to stay close to home. What do you do. Seems to me this is why he's having such hard time with his decision.

UM wins by default.

His HC being a former Wolverine is the key persuader here. Any other year he'd be committed to SCUM months ago

Go to MSU.

Still close to home and less of a dumpster fire.

FWIW, MGo thinks it’s a foregone conclusion he goes elsewhere. I’ve been browsing over there for a few hits of dopamine this season and a thread the other day pretty much said he gone
