He is friends with Nick Watkins and is planning a summer visit to ND. Very much a long shot with Baylor, Oklahoma, and Texas the main schools.

He's not going to Oklahoma, they have 3 good ones already. Baylor has none but a cr@p class because the two top recruits, Mond & Jones aren't sticking. I didn't realize how bad Baylor is sitting right now. Texas I could see but 247 doesn't seem to think he's high on them. He is the highest on their board with any legitimate chance of committing and they only have one low level 3 star currently committed.

I think ND is probably higher up his list than you think. He's held his cards pretty close. That's refreshing in this age of instant info but also frustrating when I want that info right now.

I'm not the guy who ever passed up an 8 waiting on a 10 at closing time but it's gonna happen this time. ND's pulling a 10 this cycle.

Plus, Chevin's not in Austin, Norman, Ft Worth or College Station for a reason.

Why do you think that is when we were his first offer (from what is now a terrific offer list with all of the big boys), he has a great tape and unanimous elite rankings by all of the reqruitnicks? He even plays in TX (a Catholic school in TX, I may add), a state our staff has been targeting heavily the last couple years.

I guess I don't know why it's so clear that a kid as heralded as him isn't a take for the team that was on him before anyone else. Just seems bizarre.

All legit points Wooly but Calloway slid in two of the three rankings and the ND related contact info went dark. I tried staying on top of it but it was almost non existent. With Watkins coming from the same school you'd think there'd be more news to report. Just wasn't much going on. Feels like ND backed way off.

Add to that a year where ND is in deep with multiple guys above him.

I still go back to if it was all good in the hood, he would be at a Texas heavy or OU like he was supposed ly leaning. Iowa makes no sense.

Thanks. Pretty wild. This is a kid I could see blowing it up at Iowa and all of us will be wondering how in the heck we missed on him. Hopefully the staff just knows something we don't.
