Coach Martin has put together a nice recruiting class. If they get all their verbals, they will finish with the #1 or 2 class in the MAC. Adding Tee will be big for them. It also looks like Tee will get a 6th year medical so he will have two seasons of eligibility. Hope he does well.

Glad it looks like it's working out for Tee. In 2020 we may be talking "Tee Shepard granted 8th and 9th years of eligibility".

Oh, I'm a travelin' man
Yes, I'm a travelin' man

Chuck Martin is the only coach in the country I can try to play my last year with.
Tee Shepard

2 high schools, 2 Jucos, 5 Div 1 Schools and still ends sentences with a preposition. Hard to belive this saga is only 5 years long. There's a common denominator here and it isn't hearing impairment.

Fresno Central East
Fresno Washington Central (Ineligible)
Jan '12 Notre Dame Enrolled but had to leave as he didn't pass NCAA Clearinghouse to qualify for a Div 1 Scholarship
Aug '12 College of A Thousand Oaks (or something like that) announced by head coach
Dec '12 Holmes Jr College played well at JUCO level #1 CB, #18 Overall
'14 Mississippi St verbal but flipped to Ole Miss DNP '14 Season Torn Toe Tendon
'15 Mississippi - played 5 games. "Retired" in October '15 when switched from CB to Nickel
Mississippi - remained on scholarship expects to graduate in May
Jan '16 Miami Ohio - announced coming out of "retirement" to play post graduate football for Chuck Martin

How the heck do you graduate when you transfer every year?

As noted in connor_in's comment:

Report: Former Ole Miss DB eligible for supplemental draft

“While we had hoped Tee would continue playing, he has chosen to conclude his career and focus on finishing his degree here at Ole Miss,” Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement last October. “We respect his decision and wish him the very best. He will always be a part of our family, and we hope he continues to use his platform to impact others.”

"The injuries and challenges I have overcome the last few years have taken away my love for playing the game of football,” Shepard said in a statement last October. “I want to thank Rebel Nation for the support they have shown me in my time here. I want to especially thank Coach Freeze for showing me what unconditional love is like. I will always love this team and cheer them on as they compete for a championship. I look forward to completing my degree from Ole Miss and beginning the next phase of my life.”

So why would any team potentially draft him in the supplemental draft when he comes out publicly stating he has no love of the game anymore.

I'm confused.

It doesn't sound from that statement like he expects to be playing any more football. But why wouldn't you throw your name in the ring just in case?

It makes sense to throw your name into the ring and hope someone takes a chance on you. What doesn't make any sense is that after throwing your name into the ring, that you then broadcast to the world that you have no love for the game.

Tee Shepard seems like a good-hearted young man, but I would never argue that sense-making is really his thing.

That statement is from last October when Tee decided to focus on getting his degree. I'm not sure if he now has his degree or not, but if he has finished his degree it makes perfect sense for him to give the NFL a shot. Playing football without the pressure of school work, especially for someone like Tee who has experienced some academic challenges to say the least, may just be a little more enjoyable.

That’s a shame. You wonder what would have happened had he been able to stay at ND. What a waste of talent.
