"I'll just say we're building a relationship and it's getting stronger and stronger," Browning said in a message.

"They're definitely a school that's up there on my list."
"Coach Sanford just said that they think Baron is a guy that would fit in their scheme very well and could do good things for them down the road. He was saying that he could continue to do what he's doing here and he hopes at some time that we would consider coming up there to a Junior Day or something along those lines," - See more at: https://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1834780#sthash.2OyeHEr5.dpuf

"Baylor is obviously close to home," Barrett said. "But I don't think that's going to be a determining factor in where he goes. Baylor's defensive coordinator coached his daddy in college at TCU, so that's something that might have a little to do with it and obviously Baylor is an up and coming program." - See more at: https://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1834780#sthash.2OyeHEr5.dpuf

Decommitment will get him back on the Master List, but it's still going to be a tough pull and not very likely as things currently stand.

Five-star LB Baron Browning releases Top 10

The former Baylor commit did not include the Bears in his updated Top 10.

The schools that did make the cut for the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder are (in alphabetical order): Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas, UCLA and USC.

Browning is ranked as the No. 17 overall prospect and No. 2 outside linebacker in the country and No. 3 player in the Lone Star State for the 2017 recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports Composite.

Texas is the current leader for Browning in the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Hope we can repeat what we did in last season's opener.

Big news really want this kid. I think he's visiting OSU soon I know that with Odukah. I really want Browning to bring Okudah with him to the II. If he doesn't I think ND will have 0 shot

Also Elston saw him today. Wiltfong believes ND is a player here and the goal is for the visit to go well at the II and return in the fall

Per Rivals, his brother, is now coaching HS ball in the DFW area and is looking to break into the college ranks. Apparently ND is one of the schools that's is considering him as a candidate. There is a familiarity here, as coach Sanford was the one that recruited him to Stanford.

I would do it every other school is

I get your point, but do you not get how ND operates? Not stooping to the levels like the football factory schools is at the core of what they pride themselves on. Right wrong or different, I doubt that would be a primary motivation.

If they seem he's qualified for a graduate assistant role or something along those lines, I'd have no problem with it. He's a Stanford grad, so probably has a good head on his shoulders, plus personally motivated.

We've taken a brother as a grad assistant before. But iirc we didn't land lil bro.

Based off his answers, I don't think his top 10 are on equal footing. Says OSU left the biggest impression this spring.

OSU is the perceived leader so that shouldn't come as a shock. It does sound like ND is in his top handful but has much more work to do, we'll see.

That's kind of my point, I don't see ND hiring someone in order to get a certain recruit, but rather making the hire for the right reasons, whereas other schools wouldn't even attempt to hide the reasons why they are doing it.
