I honestly feel pretty good about this one. Catholic kid that seems to have did his research. If all things stay equal, I would assume he sticks. But as we know, nothing stays equal as a Notre Dame fan.

There is no precedent of sleepovers with the coaching staff at ND. Could be a turn-off to some recruits. Phrasing. Boom.

When Wilfong was tweeting that the news broke, Loy was doing a write up of the commitment for the 247 subscribers. Some really good stuff in there, hats off to Sanford, he really hit home with the family.

I said last week I believe he's a great recruiter but want to see it actually pay off with a big time QB and he did that.

Can't watch, how's his film?

It's terrific, my man. The offense he runs is pretty similar to ours and he runs it like he has a metronome in his helmet. Moves excellent in the pocket with great field awareness. Can escape very well and will do so both by design and on the fly. Throws a beautiful ball both deep (falls right in a bucket), on the run and with touch. In the film, they show him throwing every throw you would ever need in our offense and he does so with relative ease and/or precision.

Honestly, as someone else mentioned before, he could be a generational talent. He is that good in his film... his sophomore film, mind...

Some backstory on the Wiltfong CB to OSU, this far from me sticking up for him. He changed his CB to OSU because Phil's coach straight up told him that Phil was leaning toward OSU. Also, that Phil's GF is a pretty good field hockey player and has some connections to the OSU program.

From what Phil said to 247 about his commitment, his coach was so far off on this as Phil specifically said he was coming to ND to commit. Family must keep things pretty tight.

Does seem odd that phil and his coach were on total different pages with this one, had they not had some kind of discussion about his potential college future?
