Offered as a DE but has excelled at many positions. Is being recruited by many schools as an OT. Openly stated in March that he preferred to play TE over DE in college but then retracted that via Twitter.

On Power Hour, Mike Frank was interviewing one of the incoming class (I think it was Boudreaux but I can't remember off the top of my head) who is close to MacCollister. The recruit said he considers him all Irish in the end. It's possible I"m mixing guys up, but I think that's right. Either way, I suggest listening to Power Hour.

He's visiting for II and committing shortly after much like Daley. Will be interesting to watch, ND is right there

I don't see offensive tackle in terms of his size. I think the comment was really more about the feet on the big guy, and his overall athleticism.

I think also, but could stand corrected that A) He will have been here in June; B) The force is strong with this one; and, C) PMoney considers it a technicality to get that big bird up to the bend before he commits. (Anyway.)

I just hope all the blue ribbon defensive end business at the II influences a certain outside linebacker in the class of '18!

Not for ND but he was being recruited as an OT/OG early on, scouted that way too by the services. Some changed him to TE, some to DE. Remember, there's a whole level of DI out there that strive to find 6-4 OT's, many do with less.

As to where he's going... he's got the most charismatic high school player in the country not only in his ear but in his face everyday. They line up next to each other every snap. P-Money makes it happen.

Look at the kids body. He is bod squad eligible, I'd say...and do you really need more?

I really like him as a SDE. Athletic and long enough to keep contain and strong enough to set an edge.

Size wise coming out of high school, yes. Rochell was a 94-95 rating though. As of now McCollister is rated in the 85's. Not saying that's where he deserves to be. I think the unknown of where he's going to play in college has hurt him.
