Per BGI's Andrew Ivins, we're recruiting him at CB. He'll visit Stanford in a few weeks. Though the offer took a little bit of time, he notes that we've been in contact with him for quite awhile. We almost got him on campus last summer for II.

Haha, so shortly after posting this he actually spoke to Salvon and we're recruiting him as an RB. Interesting note is that Lyght was the first and only coach to make contact with him on Sept. 1st of last year. The first day juniors can receive contact. Sounds like Stanford will be some stiff competition. Is looking at a summer visit, hopefully for II.

per Loy ND very much in this and is planning a summer visit. Like Lucky stated above he is also very close with Todd Lyght. Anybody broken down his film yet?

Would love love love this kid in SB but it's down to UDub and 4 ceremonial logos at this point to fill out his roster. Good for UDub, definitely glad it's not any of the other 3.

I've long thought, he's one of the best talent evaluators and developers that there is, in college football. Now, it makes it easier when your restrictions on getting a kid into Boise St., is they just have to be breathing but he's a really good coach.

Scout: ran a 4.32 in the 40-yard dash. All his attempts were in the 4.3s.

So it's us and 4 west coast schools... Distance going to be a factor?

First off, I think Oregon which is about 300 miles away is going to be too far.

Seattle to LA or SF isn't driving distance and by plane, what realy is the difference of flying LA to Seattle or Chicago to Seattle?

The big difference here is all the other schools are in the PAC and come to Seattle. The Irish don't.

I trust Crusader here. If he's really one of the 10 best bets to be Irish, maybe that's not a good sign about everyone else?

Well we have less than 10 spots left in this class (probably 7 or 8 left) so 2 or 3 players on that top 10 list are guaranteed to be left out. Michael Young, Tarik Black, OSB, Wills, Chris Whittaker, and Daley are more than likely going to be in this class so that just leaves 3 spots left. This class is getting close to being finished and its only July

The thought of being wrong is very exciting!

Nothing would make me happier than to take CJ and Salvon for '17's RB's and have them be AA's... at SS and CB... or Salvon at RB.

Gotta love guys that play both sides of the ball at these levels.

But I doubt my "source" for this is wrong. He's very confident that Salvon will be a Husky.

He would be an exceptional athlete to add to Holmes in this class.

I'm not going to dispute any "sources" in this recruitment but I asked some people about this kid after The Opening. He is interested in West Coast schools because that is what he is familiar with, but ND has a chance to make a real run with a good visit. Heard that he is an ND kid and should really enjoy the visit.

I'm just going to go gut here and say that if he makes the visit and he is a take at that point, he's Irish.

I have no doubt he's going to visit so I hope you're right, believe you me.

I'd take this kid in a heartbeat, but I'm not nearly as confident in landing him as scout seems to be. Thankfully their opinion holds more weight than mine.

As far as I've seen and from what I know about ND, any player that comes to ND MAY fall in love with it, the spirit, the campus and/or the players and coaching staff and walk away committed or seriously leaning Irish. Let's hope this kid visits and loves it.
