Hats off to the Jays for getting 3 in a row. Unexpected for the Rangers to compete at all this season, so this was all icing.

Hopefully we get back again next season!

Joey B deserves 95 in the ribs next at bat. He always acts like an ass.

I love hearing the old guys say he wouldn't have done that in the 80'sand early 90's.

Eh it's a long offseason...I'm going to reserve judgement until I see the full plan. I loved Simba but he was a black hole at the plate and from everything I've read Sean Newcomb sounds like he could be a stud. We have the deepest pitching farm in the bigs and a lot of potential pieces to be moved at the winter meetings.

Give it a few years and we will have the best rotation in baseball.

Coppy the new gm what the brain storm behind the Hector trade from the dodgers. He was going to be the 3rd baseman of the future at 30 years old (witch was stupid thinking) only the realize he didn't have the range to play there and move to left field. Bad move 1 because we lost a good starter in Wood, an Ok 2nd base prospect in Peraza.

Bad move 2 this trade. Simmons isn't the greatest hitter but hands down the dest defensive play in the game. I personally think his offensive numbers this year were down due to the hitting coach trying to get him to change his swing. In this day and age when players are getting way over paid we had a gem for next to nothing. We are getting an old ss that had a worse obp% then simmons. Their top pitching prospect that has control issues. And another pitcher that wouldn't be in their top 10 prospects but the angels farm system is awful. 2016 will be as bad if not worse then 2015.

While I'm a huge fan of Simmons I totally get what the Braves are doing. Acquiring a ton of young pitching talent to rebuild with for the future. Just look at the Royals and Mets. Their success has been built on outstanding young pitching. Newcomb has #1 starting potential. As to his control it's not unusual for leftys to develop their control a little later. SS of the future is another Curacao product Ozhaino Albies who in 2017 will still just be 20 years old. Tremendous prospect. If he and CF Mallex Smith continue to develop as expected the Braves will have two guys at the top of the order with ridiculous speed. Both could steal 50 bases. Both are excellent defensively as well. BTW Coppy is an ND grad.

Those teams had home grown offensive talent the braves don't Albies will be a little bit better hitter but not as good defensively. Mallex won't play center because he can't read the ball of the bat. Has a ton of speed but even all the braves scouts are saying it will be a stretch for him in center. He offers NO power.

I was ok with the trades of Justin Upton and Jason Heyward after i sat back and looked at it. Atlanta couldn't afford either one in free agency so they loaded up on pitching. The offense is awful and they knew that so they still go for pitching that is 3 years out.

I don't care were he graduated from he keeps making bad trades he will have a short life in atlanta.

It is too early to say that this is a bad trade though. I've made peace with the fact that we are in a rebuilding era. What we had from 2011-2014 was unsustainable due to budget constraints. We had a lot of bad contracts and we weren't going to afford a lot of the talent that was coming up for new contracts. I did love Simba and his contract was great but eh, I'm willing to let it all play out.

It's like the Braves are the National League version of the White Sox...

Baseball is getting ridiculous with its contracts. Mike Pelfrey got 2 yes 16 million for an era over 4.7 that is awful.

I saw that, very cool... I usually get grief from others because I've caught multiple fouls and home runs in my life, probably around five or six and most have never caught any... imagine catching that many in ONE GAME... crazy.

The braves defense is probably going to be historically bad. Pierzynski, Aybar, Garcia, and Oliveria are going to be bad. The bullpen is a bad again and the staters you guessed it bad.

Interesting... He is prone to the head scratcher every once in a while but he was always a plus fielders for us... Too bad

Aybar must be the first dude the Angels ever got rid of at the right time. They are usually in the business of over paying for players on the verge of decline. ;)
