Hello All,

I know I made a post about this earlier in the thread...but I'd like to ask for any helpful information. I am trying to find tickets for the Friday Session of games. I have tried Ticket Master, Stub Hub, and Tick Pick...the cheapest ticket I can find is $250 on Stub Hub.

I have seen some of you earlier in the thread say you got tickets for last years games for under $100. I'm not asking to be right down on the court, I am content with sitting in the nosebleeds. Is it as simple as I just have to wait until Thursday night, or Friday afternoon and buy tickets then, or did most of you guys scalp last year to find reasonably priced tickets?

Any help is appreciated, I'd love to see the boys play in a meaningful game such as this, but not trying to break the bank for some nosebleed seats.

A lot of people who bought those tickets are Kentucky, West Virginia and Xavier fans.. They wanted to be locked in to go to sweet 16 and elite 8 games... Now that their teams are out, they will try to sell tickets to make a profit,

Often come Thursday ticket prices go way down because people would rather sell them for 70 then get nothing for them since they have no intention of going to the game...

UNC can get cold and ugly. Paige in particular can get in a funk that drags the whole team down. You don't want to bank on the other team playing poorly but I don't think we can beat a UNC hitting on all cylinders and at least one or two of their guys to crap the bed in order for us to make a run at them.

I don't disagree, but Paige is playing better and they have been improving. Let's hope the break between games is the same for UNC as that hot shooter who hates to see halftime come and then cools in the second half.

IU's freshmen have been playing stellar lately and are very athletic. They will be a tough out for UNC with Yogi driving the car.

Watched both Indiana games in person. UNC will eat them alive IMO.

As much as I wholeheartedly agree UNC appears to be the team to beat. I remember before the tournament started. There were people expressing the same feelings about Michigan St and how shocked they were to see them as a 2 seed and not a 1.

Then the games were actually played. Anything can happen once the tip off occurs.

Except the Big 10 isn't as tested as the ACC teams are.

I went to check their schedule to make an argument that they've had bad losses. Nope. Every loss was to a tournament team. Except Louisville but that's because of their postseason ban.

And their largest margin of defeat was only 6, and that was against Louisville.

They very well may hoist the trophy in the end.

Draft recap of Jackson from SI.com

As it stands, there’s a pretty wide variance of draft outcomes for Jackson, who just missed our first Big Board. He’s not very tall and an older prospect relative to the class, but he’s an NBA-caliber athlete and in the mix as a mid-first rounder. He played well in wins over Michigan and Stephen F. Austin, generating a little bit of buzz, but totaled just four assists.

So, there are questions here. What’s his NBA skill? “My problem is, he’s not great at controlling and running a team, and he’s not great at taking control and doing it himself either,” one NBA scout told me prior to the tournament. “But, he has all the tools to do it.” Despite his quickness and hops, Synergy Sports data from this season rates Jackson as a below-average transition scorer. To be fair, no one number can tell an entire story, and he was hampered by a hamstring pull in late January. Regardless, does that breakdown scream “second-best point guard in the draft” to you? Well, let’s just say there’s another guy making a strong case for that mantle…

IU does appear to be trending the right way, but I've been a little more impressed with UNC at the moment. Along with IU's freshmen continuing to step up, IU will need to hit their 3's to have a chance.

Jay Williams was on with Mike & Mike this morning and has Jackson as the #2 PG and early to mid first rounder.

Honestly I think Jackson could be a really solid PG in the league for many years, not a super star though. Kind of reminds me of Bobby Jackson who played for Univ of Minn and many years in the NBA.

Let's face it. With a minute left in a tight game no other Irish player should handle the ball, unless Jackson passes it to them and they are wide open.

IU needs to shoot the 3 at a high percentage and also limit UNC's second chance points.

This is probably the best matchup Notre Dame has had in the tournament. Hopefully they can win by 10-15 points

These days, Mike Brey looks like a day trader who has endured a particularly aggressive happy hour. Notre Dame’s head coach has traded ski lodge chic for businessman-on-a-bender. He ditched trademark turtlenecks for open collars, unfastened buttons, slicked-back hair and slept-in-a-ditch stubble. He dresses like a lost soul on his fourth martini and down to his last Marlboro Light. He looks primed to view a Vegas sunrise. He looks, to be honest, kind of awesome.

All funny and true. He does look awesome.

ACC is by far the best basketball conference. Sucks that our teams have to eliminate each other now.

Great, yet frustrating game. I'm no basketball mind but obviously they need to play better. North Carolina cannot shoot that well again. Big uphill battle. House money though. Go out and play.

UNC won't shoot as well as they did in DC but they still beat us by 30. If we win I'd be stunned. But that's March.

ACC looks very good; really happy in this conference. Now we need a practice facility on par with other ACC schools.

...

Brey's just made 2nd half (of his career) adjustments.

ND/UNC is at 8:49 Sunday night.

Gotta defend the 3 and prevent UNC from getting offensive rebounds or we have no chance. Auguste really has to have the rebounding game of his life.

Offensively, we gotta figure out how to beat that intense man to man they killed us with last game in the ACC tourney. Jackson was trying to set the offense up and he couldn't get the ball 5 feet beyond half court with their pressure. We can't really afford to go up tempo against a team like that, so it's going to be interesting to see what Brey dials up. Farrell running the point could work since DJ can maybe get the ball on the wing and get some penetration from there this time. Who knows.

I do like these revenge games after a blowout loss though. UNC will be so inclined to come out with the same game plan while Brey will switch it up and throw everything he has at them. I think it will be very close.

Wow well Beachem has been a life savior. If there is no VJ this tourney we wouldn't be here.

The guy has stepped up.
