I thought was strange too. Just passing it along.

Thanks for passing it on! When you look at it, it sheds an interesting light on Hookers actions. Timing for Hooker to fall in love with VT after ND visit is incredible, isn't it?

Hey if that was before he was in town, wouldn't he be more likely to tell his area recruiter, or the recruiting coordinator, first?

And with the kind of relationship these recruiters are building with the kids, I can see a conversation like, "Okay, you can tell him when you come to town, face to face!"

And the last part, it seems that it became official as he left campus, which is the norm, isn't it?

I still say the timing explains Hooker's about face.

This is second time I've seen this posted, what are we supposed to take away from this?

2 posters wanted to see him next to different QBs. Petty isn't the person they asked for but he has verified 6-3 height. Just for all those that don't want Davis at QB because he's on the shorter side.

And u think this shows he isn't 6' or shorter?

Does anyone have anything negative on Davis other than he's 6-0 or God forbid 5-11? Everyone seems to think there are 5+ QB's that Brian Kelly and Mike Stanford never offered that ND should have gone after. Wasn't Davis the 2nd or 3rd QB this staff offered?

To answer your question, I never said he was taller than 6-0 and I've said he's probably done growing. I was posting the picture for other posters that asked to see him next to ND quarterbacks. No, Petty isn't from ND but he has been accurately measured at the NFL combine.

People say his height will limit his ability to run this offense. But we already have a QB at 6-0 that ran it well when he wasn't injured. Davis isn't as stout as Zaire but he's also faster. He's also more upright in the pocket as opposed to Malik's very wide base that makes him even shorter. Moreover, Davis runs an offense that much closer to BK's offense at ND. Zaire was in a veer or option offense if I remember correctly - he may have thrown 10 passes a game.

I want to be clear that I don't really care if he is 6' or 5'11, or whatever it may be.

I do think at some point being shorter provides it's challenges and narrows the margin of error (or otherwise makes said player needing to be even more exact in his play).

But what I stand by in qb play ultimately is 1) doesn't turn it over 2) doesn't limit ur playbook.

If a 5'11 kid can do those two things and has the talent in all of coaches boxes, sign him up!

I just didn't know if you thought that picture told us something we didn't know. Which, I don't think it does.

It seems he cuts himself off on his follow through/doesn't drive off his back foot very hard, which I think is impressive in his highlights because he's making those throws harder for himself. It still looks nice and smooth and seems like a flick of the wrist for him. The follow through and drive are easy fixes and should really open up his arm power and I'm excited to see how much better he gets with a proper drive!

Everyone's favorite ESPN has this kid at #72 overall. That's up there compared to where other sites have him.

He's our 2nd highest recruit on ESPN. Everyone one of our commits so far are 4-stars on ESPN, besides White, who's unranked.

Wiz hacked the database.

I wonder if they don't see his height as a detriment or if they would have him even higher if he was taller?

If he was 6-3 he'd be a 5 star and probably number 1 DT QB in the country.
