I must be watching the wrong film. His arm looks much more like Tommy Rees arm than say Brandon Wimbush. I don't see a dynamic runner either - more along the lines of Deshone Kizer which is fine. Mccaffrey is taller and will add more arm strength as he fills out - it looks to me that he puts more on his throws at this stage. His throwing motion also looks much smoother. McCaffrey is also athletic enough to escape.

Just watched both junior films again. Hooker is definitely a bit more filled out, he doesn't look taller. We will have to see how they measure in at the camps. Hooker definitely more mobile, but like I said he doesn't really have to do anything crazy to make people miss and compared to Davis it doesn't look like he has that extra gear. I doubt his top end speed is much better than McCaffrey, my bet is they're pretty comperable. What sets McCaffrey apart for me is throwing the football. In his highlights he makes throws with pressure in his face, puts more zip on the ball and finds his man in the middle of zone coverage. He knows where to put the ball to keep it away from defenders. Hooker lobs the ball downfield. If it's over 30 yards downfield it's a rainbow. I don't know if it's got anything to do with the hitch in the motion but he seems to short arm the ball and push it to his receivers instead of getting set and letting it rip. I think he's a good developmental prospect but if I'm being honest he's boom or bust. I hope ND lands Davis, it seems they have him pegged to be their guy.

Absolutely horrid! Like 70's porn horrid.

But that's where she became a star. 1982. Where does the time go #1?

Like they say for every person in their 70's and 80's, inside is a teenager wondering, "What just happened?" lol

I think she was Farrah v2.0.

Baller, a little raw but definitely has the upside to be a game changer.

I'm really excited about this offer. He is really talented, seems accurate and athletic. I do not know how he is only a 3 star

Love this offer, reminds me a little bit of Dwayne Haskins from last years class. I think Hooker is more natural with the zone read though

Witlfong is basically saying that he doesn't know who ND's QB in this class is going to be but he thinks its going to be either Davis or Hooker.

Not saying he's Cam Newton, or that he'll even be close to Cam. But there are a lot of similarities here.

A much needed boost to this class. He's going to move up the rankings a lot before its all said and done.

Is that coming from scout?

Straight from the horses mouth

Good move by Hendon if correct. Davis is waiting for something else or just enjoying the process. Hendon has been involved with basketball. Really surprised one of these guys didn't BS commit to hold a spot because ND is above their pay grade in my eyes. Maybe Loy's daily Sears updates and maybe some Mond rumors lit a fire? I'm down for any of them. Hopefully Hooker has some football smarts to go along with the physical package that is 5 star level. That's why I like Sears so much, he's coming out of a program that produces QB's and they run an ND style offense.

Barring injury, Hooker will have plenty of time to develop. Hopefully his first meaningful snap would be in '19 or '20 (depending on when BW is finished) if he can beat out Book and who ever comes in behind him in '18 or '19.

He a dual-threat or pro style? 247 has him as a pro but Rivals and ESPN have him as a dual.

Is ND committed to taking only 1 QB in 2017? It seems to me taking 2 some years would be an option given we have only one in 2016 and he wasn't a five star.

Serious QU IDK the answer to - does it ever work out for a team to take 2 legitimate star QBs in the same class? One would be the glorified backup and/or transfer so I'd personally rather just take 1. I think we get a stud in 2018 too, so I don't think we need a 5-star in 2017.

Don't think we ever need a 5 star, to be honest. Plenty of really good players out there that aren't. None of Kizer, Zaire, and Wimbush were and I don't expect Hooker to be either but he'll be pretty darn good, should we get him.

To you original question, I'm not a huge fan of taking 2 QB's in the same class unless you feel one can excel somewhere else.

What disadvantage do you see with taking two? Especially if they are both highly ranked?
