Just wanted to add, that I completely forgot that I saw Paea play this season apparently. I watched my hometown boyz, The Herd... The Buchanan BUCKS give the Shamrocks their first loss of the season (one of only two).

So I'll reiterate.... Berrien Springs sucks...:nanana1:

??? King...Lyke...Lukusa...Corey...Layne...Robertson... Should I go on?

Are any of those guys top 30 or 50 national recruits? Only names that I'm familiar with of those are Josh King, Auston Robertson, and Donnie Corley. Corley was rated in the 120's in the 247 composite, King and Robertson were both in the top 100, but Robertson isn't going to MSU.

My point still stands. MSU doesn't land many of those top 30-50 guys that are 5*'s or just out of contention for 5* status. Dantonio's landed 2 in his entire 9-10 year tenure at MSU, and both were from Detroit.

Vernon Gholson's brother was probably Dantanio's highest rated recruit and he turned out to be a huge bust, was lazy and had zero work ethic.

he's not there

Not my point. Point is they beat ND for the rights to his services

Well your point was made in response to my point which had nothing to do with your point, interloper.

All I care about is how MSU relates to ND and their ability to get quality players in the Midwest. That's what I responded to. But by all means, you guys keep stacking those 5 star NJ players and maybe, just maybe you'll beat the farmers up there at Ag State.

Until UM is either back on ND's schedule or they can beat a murderer's row of Hawaii, UCF & Colorado in the same season, I really could care less.

He's still gathering information, but likes what he sees. He's going on a West Coast trip and then will make a decision; he hopes to decide soon.

Suppose he could be a good player since most kids can't really control where they go to school. But the competition he plays is pretty bad...some of the weakest in the state, IMO. Have not heard how he has done at camps but just not use to seeing good D-1 prospects out of this area of the state.

Meh. When Hinish committed I didn't really want him anymore. I'd bet Hinish has a more productive college career

As you can tell from my original posts, I was not high on this kid because I have seen him play in person. I watched Buchanan completely handle this kid. It's bad football in this area, no doubt. But to say it's "some of the worst in the state" is untrue. The northern half of Michigan is pretty worthless in football, but between St Joseph, Benton Harbor and Kalamazoo, the southwest part of Michigan routinely puts out D1 athletes. Not nearly on the level of Cass Tech, etc, but Berrien Springs isn't a reflection of this part of the state as a whole.

Great point. I was more referring to the conference he plays in.

Wooly, great point pretty much what a D3 coach said

Really? What did you like about him? To me he was just a 2-down player, and more of a space eater than a guy who would make plays. I wouldn't have minded him being in the class, but there are definitely better

You're absolutely right on that. This dude faced a bunch of farm kids all year and really didn't dominate. Against Buchanan (a town of 4000 people, a school of less than 500 kids), he got handled and they lost. They didn't even have to put two blockers on him.

I'm sure he's a good kid, but I could easily see him as a guy Harbaugh pushes out of the program in a year or two.

If ND wants this kid, they will get him IMO...just like I said in the Haskell Garrett thread there is a lot of time between now and NSD 2017. I'd rather get Garrett and/or Daniel Cage's brother.

I hate to admit Harbaugh is reeling in the recruits!

Yeah! Over 100 commits since he got there. ...an he only had to figure out how to get rid of 75%!

ND did want him and went after him, got him to visit multiple times and he committed to Michigan. So how can we get him whenever we want?

They need to go after Rutger Reitmaier and Cam Spence too.

If ND still wants the kid there are opportunities for him to flip, get him here for the B&G game, the Irish Invasion camp, an official visit for a game.

If he stays solid to Michigan...move on to the next!

He shut down the recruiting process though. He has seen everything ND has to offer, don't think he will all of a sudden change his mind especially in time for the spring game
