over Billy B and guys like Tomlin and stuff? I disagree, I mean the NFL shook Saban so much he couldn't make it through a full season. Potato post man lol

I don't know what "Potato post means."

And yes over majority of NFL coaches. Obviously I'd put Bill B and a few others ahead of them.

But, remember Bill had an under .500 record when he was coach of the original Browns. We don't know what Saban could do if he got a second time around and have Tom Brady.

Honesty question. How would Bill do as college coach prior to his New England fame? No one knows.

I honestly think Saban and Meyer are top 10 football coaches no matter what level you are looking at.

You know after I think about it those are fair points. You also have to look at the amount of talent Saban and Meyer have to work with. It's pretty ridiculous but you have to get them there and develop them!

I think a big question is whether you think of recruiting as being a part of coaching, or if it's own thing.

In this day in age recruiting is it's own world and maybe more difficult then winning football games. They go hand and hand but if you want to play in the Final 4 you better be elite at both

This sucks...OSU is on fire. I hate that ND is competing with more teams now than ever in recruiting. Stanford and Michigan State going back into the shitter would help.

If only it was this easy for ND:

January 27: Zach Smith from Ohio State Buckeyes visits Haskell Garrett

February 2: Ohio State Buckeyes offer Haskell Garrett

February 9: Haskell Garrett commits to Ohio State Buckeyes.

Regardless of the nice things he said about ND after they offered, to be fair, Ohio State was his dream school. He had admitted this in interviews. So this should only be a surprise to the Bishop Gorman / Pipeline theorists.

To your point bery, what will be interesting is if Biaggio Ali-Walsh or Eric Crosby commit as quickly if/when offered to ND.

You'd think it will be difficult for OSU to hold onto both Garrett and Cage. It's tough enough to get 2 of the same basic players for the same position but OSU is sitting pretty with 4 more DT's ranked ahead of Cage. ND is obviously in a good position to flip one of these guys due to their connections with both players.

We'll see.

Well. We all know how we'd react if a big-time commit went to Junior Day at OSU. Still in this.

Bighead update

Per Anna: "Not really. I'm kind of set on Ohio State. Going into it, I just kind wanted to see what else was out there, but after seeing both schools, I'm all Ohio State." Only OV to OSU as of now

Aren't they all the same?

He loved it, thought about committing, going home to think it over, and then in a couple of days he will solidify his OSU status.

Well that sucks. Obviously early, and a lot can change. Was hoping he'd say he enjoyed his visit to Ohio St., but has a lot to think about with ND. Wishful thinking, I know.

I was blown away at all of the classes I didn't have to attend at OSU. I mean, the academics are fantastic for anybody who wants to play school. Columbus is a great place, it's a lot like Vegas besides the weather, the things to do and all of that kind of stuff.
