"It' Huge. It's very Huge," said Dobbins. "my parents were excited. They were very excited about hearing the news."

Denson is recruiting him Dobbins said "Coach Denson and i have had plenty of conversations."

This comes as no surprise to me that Dobbins speaks highly of Denson. Also a trip is in the works. Distance isn't a factor.

ISD interviewed his coach, who is a Notre Dame fan. The coach loves this kid and seems like he'd definitely be in ND's corner.

“It’s huge. It’s very huge,” said Dobbins. “They’re tradition-rich. They’ve won a lot of football games. They have so much tradition there. It’s also a great academic school as well.

“My parents were excited. They were very excited about hearing that news.”

“Coach Denson and I have had plenty of conversations,” said Dobbins. “He’s very genuine. He seems like a guy who won’t lie to you. He’s a great coach. He holds some records at Notre Dame. He’s just a great, great coach.”

“If I graduate from Notre Dame, that would be a great accomplishment,” said Dobbins. “It’s a great academic school and they are known worldwide for their academics. A degree from there would be amazing, if that’s where I decided to go to school.”

“I kind of have a group of favorites, but nothing set,” said Dobbins on the overall state of his recruitment. “I haven’t really sat down and evaluated all the schools all that much yet. I’m planning on early enrolling, so that’s where my main focus has been.”

“Location does not have a factor with me,” said Dobbins. “If I stay local, it’s where my gut was leaning. I have no problem going all the way to Indiana or another school. That isn’t an issue for me or my family at all.”

Damn - I hate all this positive news and having to wait a year to see if it stays positive.

His acceleration looks off the charts in that highlight video that Panda posted.

EDIT: Like seriously, first run. He goes from almost a complete stop due to an attempted tackle and then just flies about 15 yards in less than two seconds. Incredible.

Three steps and he's at full speed. That looked like a baby Marshall Faulk.
Hopefully he plays with Brock Wright on 7v7's. They are only about an hour a part.

I'm gonna CB him to LSU based on how good he looks in their uni's already.

Due to stature and location, he reminds me of LaMichael James. This is the type kid that tears up a college spread offense. He's fun to watch.

Composite wise there's 3 running backs better than him in the nation? Just watching his film is everything you could ever want. Damn!

No kidding. That's probably the fastest zero to hero speed I've seen in a highlight film.

A&M, OU, Texas, and TCU were all over this kid last summer and he was close to committing to someone (likely A&M), but realized that he had a lot of time left and wanted to get offers from outside his area and see what's out there.

"I'm just excited," Dobbins said. "I think Notre Dame is a great school, not just with football, but with academics too. They have a great academic program there. I also think they have great coaches and they have great tradition. That's just what makes me so excited about Notre Dame. "

"They have great academics and they just seem to do special things," Dobbins said. "I also like the winning tradition."

"He's a great guy and seems like a genuine coach. I think he develops his players well and he's a great guy," Dobbins said. "I think he's coming down in the spring. I know he has some records [at Notre Dame] so he has a lot to talk about."

"I'm working on that," he said when asked about a potential trip to Notre Dame. "I'm not sure when it will happen, but I'm working on it."

"I have watched Notre Dame a little bit and I just know that they have won a lot of national championships in the past," Dobbins said. "They have that tradition."

Does this recruitment get as close as Soso's did or will it just remain its current level of so so?

No italics.

PS... thanks for the bump, that's in my top 5 films for this class. Could watch it everyday.

His coach is on our side. This could go well. Or it could blow up in our faces and he commits to USC late in the process.

He's got what wrestling calls a limp leg. When someone tries to wrap the leg he lets it go limp and it bounces free allowing him to bounce off the tackle.

Yes please.

Well that's the only thing limp after watching his film.

...I'm here all week with two shows on Saturday.

Legitimately my number one want on offense. Everything I see and read about on this kid is great.

Was very close to making this declaration above but I haven't followed things that close recently.

Pretty damn good on that tape. Would certainly be a monster pickup.

Reps, sir, for keeping it real.

You always hear about tape. And sometimes people rave. So I figured I'd watch a few plays, and DAMN! How frickin' electric can a high school player get?

Dobbins and Dillon, what a crew. Add that to this years, and last years, that's six, and a stable as close to what we had in the Holtz years as you are going to see!

I really have no idea what they're selling to get them to commit so quickly

Most likely the nfl sell is killing it
