This has the making of a busted egg on ND's head. This is starting to become a joke.

I am not sure I can even follow the logic on this thread anymore, but hasn't DR simply said that he was going to wait until after signing day to get his scores? It may not work out for ND if he does, but I really don't have any problem with that. And if he is as serious about academics as he has led us to believe, I don't see how he can choose Georgia over ND/Stanford. If he is not serious about academics, then it won't make any difference about ND anyway.

Sounds like some nobody on a Georgia site was talking out of his ass. I'm going to stick with people that seem to know like ISD.

Wow, this kid is treating Bama like a bitch. Isn't this his third cancelled trip in the last month or so?

This has the making of a busted egg on ND's head. This is starting to become a joke.

Why, because he is not committing on YOUR timeline?

You want to be a great team? You need great players. So you need to recruit great players. DROB is an elite player with legit interest in ND. But because he also has interest in other schools (shocker!!!) we should just drop him?

I seriously don't get the logic behind some of these posts. You doe EVERYTHING you can to get these elite recruits. If you don't get them, it's not egg on your face, it's on to the next one. But you keep at it. It's how you become an elite program.

Loy spoke to a source and said the visit went great this week. "great, couldn't have gone better." A different said "Notre Dame is getting him. As crazy as that sounds, there is no doubt in my mind.

Loy still thinks he could sign on wednesday.

Still think it's ND in the end.

I am also wondering if all of this "putting off visits" and waiting till after National Signing Day for his test scores, may be a way to keep all of the pressure to stay south off of this kids back so he can make a decision that he wants to make. Keep saying that you will visit Bama later so that they won't pester him. Saying he is going to wait until after signing day gives Georgia hope and keeps them off his back. Georgia Tech? He is going to play WR in that offense? Can't believe that.

Maybe Stanford is staying wait for us so he ends up in the SEC and not at ND

I totally get waiting until after Signing Day if he's waiting on test scores at Stanford. I do not get waiting so he can take another visit to Georgia, which is, what, two or three hours from home?
And I can't believe that GT is really a factor here.

I don't know what to make of this one, but I do think our best chance to land him is on Wednesday. If it goes beyond then, I start to think he's looking for reasons not to choose Notre Dame. And even if he winds up signing here in the end, our track record on kids whose heart isn't really in the place is not very high.

Bama 247 reporters are now sayin that Robertson has called the Bama staff and notified them he'll be in town for an unofficial around 3pm today. They're watching it closely as he's cancelled on them a few times now.

Per Bama 24/7 no visit today as they are in Atlanta later then expected and an 8 hour trip with the dead period starting tonight just isn't worth it

Seriously the most turbulent recruitment I've probably ever seen. If it's intentional, it's almost admirable because I do not think anyone has any real grasp as to what the hell is going on, or at least they think they do one moment, but then they don't the next.

This is really bizarre either he himself is very flaky or he has some significant pushin and pulling going on in his inner circle.

One would think this effectively eliminates Bama, I'm guessing.

If he wants to live in Georgia for the rest of his life I'm sure he will be able to get just about whatever job he wants as a former UGA football star with that degree. Better weather and women. Lighter workload. Sometimes academics aren't everything to a kid making a 40 year decision.

One would think but apparently here is still talk of him taking an OV after NSD. They did mention that "spots" might not be available but we all know that doesn't exist for a player like this and Bama.

Hence the poster saying if academics are as important as he had led us to believe. Which would be his #1 priority according to the kid himself.

Have we ever had a NSD commit from a kid who hasn't visited campus in months?

I think this will come down to GA and ND in the end. This would be a nice signing day surprise for ND. I am 50/50 on this for ND's chances, but if he doesn't sign on NSD then I don't think ND lands him.
