'16 GA ATH Demetris Robertson (Georgia Transfer)

The surest thing is a guy who simply can’t miss in college barring injury like the aforementioned Blanding and James. And this year it’s not a safety. I’ve been burned on linebacker before, so I’m wary there (Curtis Grant), and character questions have come into play before on this, so that has to come into play as well. So I’m going to go with our No. 8 player this year, Demetris Robertson, and it doesn’t matter where he ends up.

Robertson is a dynamic slot guy who can play outside and impact special teams and he could play defense in a worst-case scenario. My only concern with Robertson is that he is much closer to his ceiling (size, speed, etc) than many other five-stars, but I still can’t see him missing. We’ll see if I nail this three years in a row.

Some Stanford poster who is always on his game has stated Stanford is not an option and Stanford has moved on. He didn't get in and it's more complicated then that. Has he taken the test? Probably but has he filled out the Stanford app that takes about a month? Have any Stanford coaches visited him? Seems like Drob wants Stanford but don't know how much they want him. Imo he won't be going to Stanford and will either end up with Bama or ND? Will he make the tough decision or easy one? This recruitment has a lot left the last two weeks and if you read the hourly and daily updates you are going to drive yourself insane.

I will say don't listen to rusty mansell guy will swing and miss with everything he puts. Buckle up but I truly believe it's between Bama and ND. I wouldn't put any stock into what his mother wants and I think his brother wants him at ND and that's where I believe he goes as of today. If he doesn't visit Bama this weekend which he is very well known to do by canceling or not showing up then I believe he told BK he is coming and won't visit anymore else. Actions will speaker louder then words with his recruitment. I have a hard time believing he would commit without every visiting Stanford. Remember Bryon Cowart named Oregon his leader for 11 months and never stepped foot on campus.

To me there is a difference between a 'dynamic recruitment,' and a 'competitive' one.

On one hand you have kids like Neil. On the other you have schools with bagmen, and 'sources' that obfuscate what is really happening. Sometimes saying it's so, makes it come true, etc.

Whenever ND comes up against certain schools I expect this, Oregon, UCLA, Fla, FLSU, UGa, all come to mind. There are others, with a particular spot reserved for Urbie's bull shit.

I think this is the later more than the former. Just a strong gut feeling.

I am not buying any of this eleventh hour flatulence.

Maybe as is, there's no way he gets in. But with how close Shaw is getting this team to the playoffs, maybe he's trying to take a stand about an exception or two to the admins and they're trying to do something they've never done before to get Robertson in, and Shaw is trying to keep him interested while the verdict is out?

Robertson is definitely not going to make it into Stanford, therefore, Sampson is correct.

However, it could also be true that Stanford is trying to make an exception to get Robertson (somehow). So, it could still be on the table, given those conditions.

I'm going with the theory that he's already committed to ND and everything else is misinformation intended to build drama for his announcement.

I still believe that the timing of BK's in home visit was significant. I think it's significant that all the buzz is about ND, but Demetris has time to post a photo touting the Cal coaches visiting, but nothing about ND visiting. I think it's significant that he suddenly schedules a GT visit. It just comes across as trying to downplay ND and trying to "pump up" all these other serious threats.

By the way I also believe that there are aliens living among us. So take all of this with a grain of salt.
