Playing Suikoden V on ps2.
Have you ever played III? I got it on a whim, played through a good portion of the game and then never got to finish it. Seems like it got really good reviews though. I remember it being a very different RPG. It was kind of cool switching characters and points of view to see how each side viewed the war.
Anybody familiar with/use a 3DS?
I'm thinking about investing, just to have something I can pick up and enjoy easily. My interest got piqued when I read about the Nintendo eStore and read that you can download new games, as well as classics.
I'd love to get a 3DS and grab the Fire Emblem games digitally (as well as other, more classic games like Mario or Zelda [which I never played]), but it's hard to see what's actually available. I guess you need the console in hand to search effectively.
I'd wait for the NX.
Based on my quick research, I don't know if I'm "die-hard" enough about Nintendo to wait and buy the console. The controller that doubles as a personal, hand-held system is cool, but I feel like I'd almost rather just have a 3DS that I can pack up and take along easily.
Yeah I get that sentiment, just know you are buying a console that is at the very end of it's lifecycle.
I've been playing The Witcher 3 almost exclusively. Sprinkle in some FIFA here and there. I never play SW Battlefront as I predicted before I even bought the PS4.
Witcher 3 is the best game I've played since Skyrim.
Contemplating purchasing a system, after 3-4 years without. Fairly certain I'll go with Xbox One.
From what I've seen, I need to purchase
The Witcher
Fallout 4
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Metal Gear Solid 5
Halo 5
Ori and the Blind Forest
Does that sound about right?
Did Destiny end up being a good game after the updates?
That'll definitely be my next purchase:

Holy sh!t.
I'll likely only start with two of these games. Which two are suggested? FYI, I used to play boatloads of Halo but my all time favorite game has been Skyrim. Had 130-150 hrs into it before Christmas (and it was released on black Friday). I treated it like a 2nd job.
I was in Denver at the time so I'd finish work, rush home, put my head phones on and immerse myself for nearly 6-8 hrs. Often going to bed between 2-3 am and writing notes for myself when I'd begin the next evening.
I wasn't married & I didn't have a child. I doubt I'll ever return to that level of immersion but i'm looking for a game that offers a similar experience.
Anyone play Far Cry 4 and Just Cause 3? Trying to pick one of the two to buy

If you enjoyed Skyrim that much, go with Fallout. Some things will be a bit different, but it's still a Bethesda RPG. The quests are great, you occasionally get options in how to complete them, and there's a variety of ways you can build your character.

It depends why he loved Skyrim...Was it because of the Norse themes, magic, and swordplay or because of the structure of Bethesda open-world games. If the latter, go with Fallout. If the former, I'd say Witcher 3.
Halo 5 is loads of fun but definitely one of the weaker campaigns of all the Halo campaigns.
Which one will take more time to complete?
I have 175 hours in on my Sniper for Fallout 4. I've completed pretty much every quest I could find, then went back to the Wiki to make sure I hadn't missed any others. You can probably wipe 20 hours or so off that time as I brought up my PipBoy and went to dinner a handful of times. Still, there's plenty of other things I could have done still, and while I cleared probably 75%-85% or more of the locations there are some places on my PipBoy map that I never actually went into, just ran by to pickup the POI. I picked up every settlement available, but for most of them I didn't build much of anything. I kept 90% of the settlements very simple. Also, I didn't end up going back to try the other endings on that save file. I basically played as far as I could with each faction until someone had to die, then I made the leap. I planned on making a save before pissing off a faction and then going back to that save so I could see the other endings, instead I just rolled a new character.
This is all a very accurate illustration of how big Fallout is, but I'd still give the nod to the Witcher. I've played it for countless hours and still feel completely out of my depth most of the time.
Playing The Legend of Dragoon on playstation. I bought the console at a thrift store for a dollar and it works just fine![]()
Didn't know they had Ark on X-Bone. I've got it on PC, played it for a month or two with a buddy. I didn't expect to be able to tame a T-Rex in 2 minutes, but I was surprised how long it takes to tame some of the larger dinos. It almost requires a joint effort with other people, unless the server settings are turned down from default. We lost a bunch of dinos to Alpha Raptor attacks over the course of those few months, those things can be vicious.

By far my favorite game. Those cutscenes were amazing
