I wish I could be mad at Bama for winning, but I can't. That was a fantastic game to watch.

And I respect the hell out of the way Derrick Henry plays football.

Yup. I have A LOT more respect for Bama than UM, USC, OSU, and most of the SEC.

Saban said in postgame that Bama has the best graduation rate in the SEC. Better than Vanderbilt? I'd like to see evidence of that.

Had to stay up way past bedtime on a work night, but that was an awesome game! Well worth being exhausted this morning. If you had told me Clemson would score 40 on Bama, I would have bet the house Clemson would have won. Did not expect a game with 2 really good defenses to finish 45-40.

I think we saw why Henry and Watson finished where they did in the Heisman voting.

Absolutely. I came away mega impressed with Dodd. He was a force on that Clemson D line, and he ate up that right tackle for Bama all night long. You could see that O lineman getting frustrated over and over again.

Any idea what Dabo was bitching about on the onside kick?

He called a timeout before the kick. Didn't like what he saw. Refs didn't care what they saw.

When Clemson played USC this year, Clemson ran that same onside kick. In that game the refs gave USC the ball even though Clemson recovered the ball. The officials in that game said something along the lines of the receiving team has to be given the opportunity to receive the ball(which sounds crazy).

Dabo was calling for that same ruling.

Congrats my friend. It's always hard for me to like Bama winning, but I'm extremely happy for you buddy. The best team did prevail, and much deserved. Saban is the devil :)

Thanks buddy. I didn't think this was our year going in but they somehow did it. Now it's time for your Irish to get one for the Irish Nation.

Mike Golic tweeted this pic of Henry standing next to Ingram. This must be photoshopped, right?

Gotta remember Ingram is only 5'11" 215 and Henry is 6'3" 242. The angle plays a part I think but Henry is still significantly larger than Ingram.

I didn't watch the game but watched the highlights this morning.

Doesn't the ball have to travel 10 yards on a kickoff before it can be touched by the kicking team? Nobody is pointing out that he clearly touched it at 9 yards. Just surprised not one announcer brought this up.

And 16 titles lol I guess we have, what, 22?

It went 14 yards. I thought the same thing, but they kick from the 35 and it landed at the 49.

He was fourteen yards past the line of scrimmage.

Dat Clemson safety play.....woof.

Lol looked like a team we're all familiar with, considering those long busted plays.

And Jayron Kearse was straight dogging it on two of Bama's long TD's. Couldn't believe he was quitting on plays in the national championship. If I'm him, I'm doing everything I can to try and bring that guy down short of the goal line. And it looked like he might have had a chance on one of those plays for sure, but maybe both.

I always felt Clemson wasn't sure if they could ever win. Their body language of being jacked after every decent played told me they needed something to keep them believing until the onside kick, and then poof. That was the pin that burst their bubble.

It was funny to me last night to hear about how successful the Clemson defense has been this year despite the losses they suffered (draft, injuries, and graduation) and how successful Brent Venables has been.

Makes me wonder a lot about what BVG is going to do this upcoming season we have a lot of turnover on an already under achieving defense. The Clemson defensive scheme didn't seem to be overly complicated and they face the same kind of offensive schemes we face.

Anybody else notice how often a hobbling Shaq Lawson dropped back into zone coverage.

Made me laugh every time I saw it.
