He's been one of my favorite slot Wr's the entire cycle. I just trying not thinking about USC verbals until we have to play them. It helps keep the blood pressure down, lol.

His highlights are the real deal. I doubt we get him but he has to be at the top of the list for the coaches, along with Robertson and McKinley. That would make a nasty WR haul and would give Claypool more flexibility

He is a nice player, but his size is a question. He isn't a RB and would be a really small DB. Slot just wasn't a huge need for ND this cycle.

Nice is right. Has done his best work away from a tough California fall schedule. Was a distant 2nd option to Tyler Vaughn at Bishop Amat. Doesn't have great clock speed measurables though has received the... "plays faster than he times" label on the circuit. Actually only had 1100 yards receiving in 3 years of varsity. Didn't play DB last year. Was ok in the KR game, though Vaughn oddly handled most or the PR as the 6-3 WR(?)

I know NOOBODY wants to hear it but Damian Alloway is the obvious choice here if given the option. Alloway did all his work from the slot producing huge numbers where he was also the 2nd option to Stephen Carr the Top 3 '17 RB. Sidney was 5-10 split wide with underwhelming stats. Alloway was a better returner than CJ-S in high school, much better than Sidney. Alloway is a very good defensive porspect too. Maybe a better long term DB than he is in the slot. He's a walking insurance policy.

Just my uneducated opinion.

Gotcha, so we're waiting for him to make the first move.

Wiltfong's source is someone close to Trevon and things seem to be softening with USC. I guess we'll see how far this goes. OV to A&M is also expected to happen. It's also a similar situation with A&M, there hasn't been much dialogue but he's going to push the end elope so to speak.

My take, considering South Bend isn't a destination hot spot and there is no football games being played. If he does setup a OV, I'd view that as pretty serious interest. Also, you can't be viewed as solid if you are actively reaching out to other schools versus them pressing for the kid and the kid just listening.
