ACL recovery is usually 6-9 months depending on pre-injury condition so I would say he would be back by August 1st at worse...assuming it is an ACL tear.

Guys coming back after ACL tears in six months is extremely rare. Todd Gurley tore his ACL mid-November last year and didn't return until late September.

A 10 month timetable for an ACL tear is more reasonable and expected. That would put Smith returning around late October/early November.

Especially with Bosa gone..
OL has given DK time to pass. DK has just looked like crap.
MZ, IMO would have been better suited for this type of game.
