So much talent you even forgot about Donte "Wild Thing" Vaughn! That really is some loaded talent in one secondary class.

Three things come to my mind during loaded classes like this:

1) The staff did a great job identifying lack of depth, identifying talent, recruiting that talent, and landing commitments. Kudos.

2) So much talent in one class concerns me a little because some kids will undoubtedly get left out. Nature of the sport these days: Kids who get left out become transfer risks. Sometimes I'd prefer the depth get spread out a little more and not have one class that's heavy in one particular position.

3) BUT, and this is almost a 2b, with that much talent, the cream will rise to the top. DB seems to be a position that is never a given. So recruit all you can and hope a few of them become great.

Overall, I'm pretty psyched for this class (and it's not even done yet).

247 now has him as the 85th rated player in the country and the 9th best DB. Huge huge bump for Pride and congrats young man.

Extremely happy for the kid but it won't do much, as of now, for our composite ranking as he's still so low at the other sites. However, it will really help the class with just 247's rankings, just like Hayes helped significantly with Rivals rankings.

I should say that I think its a forgone conclusion he's Irish tomorrow.

Performance:pride got off to a fast start in practice and didn't really slow down. His length and ability to anticipate helped make a lot of plays on the ball. In the game, Pride had a key pass break up on a deep pass. Colleges love that Pride is a bigger cornerback with above average speed and good technique.

He will be our second highest rated player according to 247 rankings. For comparison sake, he'll be rated higher than Jordan Fuller, Curtis Robinson, McCulloch, Auston Robertson, and Liam Eichenberg. Just giving names of good players people are familiar with.

Then the Irish will come "under the radar" ranking wise and surprise everyone down the road when deep down they have a loaded team.
