So he has a top 2 with ND definitely being one of the two but no one knows his other favorite? Do I have that right?

This is what we need in the db to prevent the big plays. A guy who knows where he has to be and is atheletic enough to get there and make the play.

you'd argue that intelligence/ability to master playbook/reads/audibles is the most important feature of a ND safety during the BK era..

This is about Fuller? I thought others were saying his coverage skills were suspect at some camp?

You know your avatar looks like you have something hanging out of your butt? You do understand how xrays work, right?

"They're towards the top, that's for sure," said Fuller of Notre Dame. "They really don't have any negatives about them. I really feel like I fit in there. I could see myself there."
247

a mod for rutgers 247 said he spoke w/ a source who said he didn't like the visit...eye roll

247 has some of the worst mods in the business. Not sure how/why they keep some of those tools employed. He did the same shit with Claypool.

per rivals---“They do have a lot of commits,” he said right after the visit. “There’s a possibility that they could run out of scholarships … So we have to be in constant contact.”

per a source he had a much different attitude and emotion on this visit...this is positive

I don't believe that Fuller is a fit right now at CB but height doesn't have anything to do with it. Its his foot quickness and hips. TP did a good job of illustrating this before.

A little tall for a CB, no?

The best answer is:"If you want to play CB, we'll start you there, and you can decide if that it what you want to do."

If the kid does not have the skill to play the position, he'll want to switch on his own.

Honestly why would height be a disadvantage? A bigger/taller body would mean a bigger defending radius right? If the guy is fast enough to stay in the hip pocket of a WR a bigger body is definitely a bonus.

IMO, CB is less about speed as it is about quickness and fluidity of movement/change of directions. So, in general the taller you get the less foot quickness and bend an athlete has. Smaller players tend to have quicker feet and better change of direction. I think thats why Richard Sherman became the big deal that he was. Not an overly fast athlete but for his size his has loose hips, quick feet, and good balance.

Donte Vaughn is a great corner prospect bc of he is such a fluid athlete. Long levers, but also the ability to explode in and out of his break. As mentioned before, speed up speed is only an added bonus. You don't need Ronald Darby speed, as Vernon Hargraeves has demonstrated for the past three years.

In Fuller's case, he could be a good corner/safety, but it's just not likely with his traits. He isn't as explosive out of breaks and that's due in part to his long stride. Offense is probably where his future is, but thats just my opinion.

He's had minimal experience playing the positions due to him always playing QB though, no? While a lot of the athleticism is something you're either born with or not, there's something to be said about muscle memory and training. If he's as good of an all around athlete as he's been hyped up to be, he could grow to be pretty good.

per RIVALS Bryan Driskell (just an excerpt)

quickly accelerates, strong agility with quick feet, loose hips, GREAT balance ,change of direction ability on defense is top-notch what makes Fuller truly special as a prospect is his intelligence and instincts, which are exceptional.

I really like what Driskell does and I find myself agreeing with him more often then not but on this we'll have to disagree.
