All you really have to do is type Daelin Hayes workout into Google or youtube and you get the idea.

How about Loy. CB'd him like 10 years ago and held it while he was committed to USC. Stone cold.

Matt Freeman had him going to ND forever (I believe as early as the spring); ISD just doesn't do that stupid crystal ball thing (plus Freeman doesn't have everyone and their mother going to ND either, so there's that part of the credibility thing).

Edit: Many USC reporters had him going to ND this summer as well, even as he was professing his love for SC. Hayes tried to keep it a secret but it was pretty well known by that time.

Mike Frank had insinuated that shady things were happening though.

I hope he doesn't get carried away with the results of this year's squads.

ND is going to give MSU straight prison love in South Bend next year and is set up for a multi year run with proven leadership, performance and depth at QB, OL and the skill positions. Cook did a fantastic job guiding that team for the past 3 years but that's over.

ND is the best choice for the next 2, maybe 3 cycles.

.

Yeah, because we've really developed a reputation for that killer instinct.

Even a broken clock...

On which side of things? Please elaborate. I had ISD at the time and don't recall that being said.

You don't think ND is going to take another step forward next year?

You don't think MSU is going to take a step backwards with the loss of their all time greatest QB and the 11 or more others?

I don't know that next year will be a step forward- too many unknowns at this point. Does Jaylon come back? Does fuller come back? Does Prosise come back? Does Kizer suffer sophomore slump or continue to progress? Does he even win the job? Is our new MIKE somehow worse than Schmidt? Do our safeties show up next year? Is KVR back? Does our OLine lose two NFLers and not miss a beat? Do we suddenly discover a passrush?

Too many unknowns to say we take a step forward.

And regardless- until I see it with my own eyes, I will never expect ND to curb stomp anyone we should, let alone a well coached and talented team like MSU.

I'll take a crack at it.

I don't know that next year will be a step forward- too many unknowns at this point.

Does Jaylon come back? - No

Does fuller come back? - Yes

Does Prosise come back? - Doesn't matter but I'll say yes

Does Kizer suffer sophomore slump or continue to progress? - He's the back up

Does he even win the job? -No

Is our new MIKE somehow worse than Schmidt? - No

Do our safeties show up next year? - Yes, much better play from them

Is KVR back? - Yes

Does our OLine lose two NFLers and not miss a beat? - Yes

Do we suddenly discover a passrush? - It won't be great but DT play is spectacular and Rochell / Trumbetti are good enough.

Too many unknowns to say we take a step forward.

And regardless- until I see it with my own eyes, I will never expect ND to curb stomp anyone we should, let alone a well coached - Yes, they still will be this.

and talented - They are losing a ton of experience and production.

I appreciate your opinion, but you realize it's nothing more than that, right? There are A LOT of people who would disagree with A LOT of that. The thing is we don't know any of those answers, and likely won't for some time. Either way, ND (in recent history) just isn't a team that blows other teams away. I would love to see it, and by all accounts - BK has Dantionio's #, but again- until I see us go for the kill, I just don't see it. I think we win. I don't think we roll. Probably won't even cover.

After NSD, I'll be interested to hear if any of this comes out. It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Shady things as far as??

I really don't know but ISD, on a couple of podcasts, were fairly upfront that they thought something was going on. Either they know and didn't want to say or they were speculating. However, they don't seem like the speculating bunch.

I think it was discussed before, but will USC get in any trouble for Sark commenting on Hayes when he signed his financial aid papers or is this infraction pretty much a non-issue?

Its considered a minor violation so nothing of significance. Maybe they'll lose one day of recruiting on the road or something like that. Its not a scholarship reduction or anything like that.

Shady stuff from the USC or ND staff?

While I don't think Fuller will be back, I tend to agree with NDC. BK has built up the depth now where we really shouldn't be seeing any type of drop off. Next man in!

Yes, I know the difference between facts and opinions. I wrote, "I'll take a crack at it" if I remember correctly.

USC

This was early on when he confessed his love for ND then committed to USC on his trip out there.

Depending on what it is, it could possibly be something that follows Hayes and affects his eligibility. No bueno.

I've been out of the loop for a couple weeks. According to my observations...

1) Daelin is ours to lose again?
2) People want Daelin again?

What happened to the overrated talk?
