Notre Dame is recruiting both at FS.

However, both present the ability to play multiple positions in the secondary. Some around the program feel that Elliott might end up as a corner.

Studstill has the ability to cover space in a hurry and FS in BVG's system needs to do just that. SS is more of in the box type, so that's more suited for Spencer Perry.

Both kids can also bulk up to play SS, so it's not out the question, but as of now Notre Dame see's them at both from what I have been told.

Studstill will more than likely be an EE.

Sure seems like he'd have a fast track to immediate PT if he gets here in the spring. I know it's a "complex" defense but the physical talent is probably unmatched with our current roster. Can Redfield SS? Or is he purely a FS based on what we've seen in his first 3 years here?

I think Redfield is better suited for SS no matter who else comes on board.

I want to agree, given he rarely covers the ground or anticipates a throw the way a FS should. But he's also been known to throw a shoulder and not wrap up and that won't fly at SS.

I think Redfield *could* be a better SS now that I think about it but I'd really like to see him work on his tackling. I want to combine Redfield and Matthias into one player, that would be ideal for next year.

Thanks, I'm not worried about him taking the visit one way or the other but if he cancels it then I think its a signal that this is pretty much sealed up.

Irish247 saying they think his commitment comes next weekend. He'll take the Texas visit and then commit to the good guys next weekend.

I'm sorry guys. Sometimes I think my jokes are so good they don't require further elaboration.

I think Pride could pop at anytime as well. Especially if we get a couple commits here then he could feel some pressure to jump on board.

I'm with you. It seems that Hamlin, Long, Pride (haven't kept up with Fuller though he's here next week right?) are about to pop and there's not room for everybody. As much as I like them all I want Hamlin because it's Pittsburgh Central Catholic and helps with David Adams next year and Jordan Fuller. New Jersey is becoming as hot as any place in the country and Michigan is becoming The State University of New Jersey for football.

I've seen Long play and he is for real track fast and has played against elite WR his whole career.

I'll be happy with any of them.
