“I think the campus was great,” said Long. “Loyola is pretty much Notre Dame, in a nutshell, without girls. I felt I would fit in perfectly fine. I even feel maybe I would fit in even a little better than elsewhere. The gap between the students and the football players isn't as big as other places. Plus, the way they set everything up, you're allowed to network and meet a lot of people on campus.”
“My time with coach Lyght was amazing,” said Long. “It's different being with a guy who not only knows football, but has played it with success. He gave me a lot of life talks and shared different perspectives on why Notre Dame is the best fit. We also broke down some film and went through some techniques and schemes they use at Notre Dame. Coach VanGorder was great as well. He reminds me a lot of my coach. It's hard, tough coaching. While some aren't fit for it, it actually gets you prepared.
“The coaches really emphasized how they felt each of us would fit in the locker room. They also stressed their need for a corner to add to the defense. Of course, I will have to compete, but there would be a decent opportunity to come in and play early on. That holds a lot of weight, especially at a prestigious school like Notre Dame.”
“Coach Kelly just kind of solidified the previous talks that I had with the coaches,” said Long. “He let me know how they'll always have a job opening for me at Notre Dame. Also, we talked about plans moving forward after my visit. He said that he plans to visit me after they play Stanford.”
“The team's performance went well,” said Long. “With an option offense you never really stop it, you just slow it down. Navy is a really disciplined team, so I think they played exceptionally well. Man, the atmosphere was absolutely nuts. 80,000 every week is something to look forward to.”
“Sargent was a great guy,” said Long. “I mean, I appreciate his approach of not building dependent students, but confident ones. He also stressed how a lot of my academic routines will be refined for the better. He seems like a great guy that's definitely in the players' best interest.”
“Notre Dame is in a great spot right now,” said Long. “I don't think that I would've given them a fair shake without this visit. However, considering I did, they're in great standing. I’m sure these quotes didn’t do the visit justice. It was nuts, to say the least.”

Either he is very expressive, or he's really feeling the Irish. I would make a vbet that he ends up at ND, but I'll instead add the heavily weighted comment that "I think the Irish have a good chance".

Biggins: he had a great visit to Michigan. Rated it slightly higher than Nd but Biggins said that's typically immediately post visit. Lots of noise that he is close to decommitting. Thinks Stanford will put him on O and he wants defense.
Any mention of Washington? I noticed Loy put in a CB tonight for them, and he isn't alone in that prediction.
It would suck so hard to lose this battle to Stanford or Michigan.
It'll suck even worse if he ends up in Seattle with Javon McKinley.
I'm right there with you on the excitement level for this kid but both UW and Michigan are pretty confident that if he doesn't go to Standford he'll land at their respective schools.
huh
wonder wow the souring on Stanford. Could it be related to admissions?
