I gotta think they share as long as JJ gets healthy.
No Tillery is a three technique. End of story per me and the coaches.

He redshirted his freshman year and this is his Senior year. I don't think his eligibility would be affected because next year is his 5th year and he would not be up for a 6th either way.
he was injured this year. Why couldn't he get a 6th year? I'm not very knowledgeable about the rules, so feel free to tell me that's a stupid question if it is, indeed, a stupid question.
You need to miss 2 seasons due to injury to receive a sixth year.

No idea how he's coming along but he tweeted out 2 months ago that he'd be back this year. If last year's Jarron could somehow play in the playoffs if we make it, that'd be huge. He's by far our best interior run stuffer and makes the LBs job so much easier (remember last year when Joe looked average? That was thanks to Jarron and Day being inside).
His conditioning would be so bad though. He'd be of limited use but shit he's probably good for one of his patented FG blocks that he has the uncanny ability to time.
He could come in for 1st and 2nd down and immediately leave the field following that. If they move the chains, take him out for that set and bring him back for 1/2 on the next set of sticks. He wouldn't need to be in great shape for that.
I think it's more that there's no way in hell he comes back for a 6th year, so it's not really worth saving it.
A good (extreme) analogy is that there is no point in red shirting Jaylon.
Kelly is über-smart. If Jarron is healthy enough to help win a game, Kelly will play him an appropriate number of snaps. Kelly already has his facts straight on the eligibility situation or we'd not have gotten the quote we did. I'll bet Jarron is salivating at the chance to win a championship and would lay it all out there.

I think BK threw that out in the presser today to inadvertently alert the committee that although ND has depth, it's about to get better come playoff time. The committee has stated several times that they look at injuries and depth when evaluating teams. BK is a smooth operator.

I thought this immediately as I really don't think JJ plays this year. I hope I'm wrong, I think he feels like he's about ready to go.
Kelly is not going to spare a year of eligibility for anyone if a NC is on the line. Eligibility is not the goal, Nattys are.
JJ is not going to miss a chance to play in a NC.
Yup. His RS season wasn't due to injury, therefore he is not eligible for a 6th year.Jarron Jones does not have a year of eligibility to spare, it's a moot point.
If ND is in the playoffs and Jarron is healthy and ready to go, you bet your ass that he is playing. To add to that, I would get as many reps as I could for Hayes, Blankenship, Morgan, and Martini to get ready for Bama. That is who I expect to see for the championship, and we will need our most athletic players ready to go for them. Not to mention that it will take a deep rotation on the line to have a chance in that game. Idk if the 2 DL are redshirting or not, but with where we currently sit, I would have all hands on deck to prepare for a title run. Plus they have 3 games with one being against Stanford to prepare for them. Why not throw out all the stops?
I would have them ready for Stanford (although I'd have been playing them all besides Blankership at least 15 snaps a game all season to keep Day/Rochelle healthy and rested).
Stanford will go 10 man in the box all day and especially on the goal line.

Does that have something to do with the rotation of ND's defensive line?
Who is going to cover Will Fuller while you have 10 guys in the box?
