Keep in mind Piombino, he's the same football genius who thinks that the game-winning bomb vs. Virginia was really a "Hail Mary" and maintains that Kizer not only isn't worthy of a ND scholarship, but that he isn't good enough to be a D1 QB anywhere. Think about that for a second.

THAT is the level of football IQ we're dealing with here.

My gut says make him wait, but deep down if the staff feels that he will provide quality depth along the D line I am all for taking him.

Bottom line to play with the cream of the crop in college football we need D line depth, QUALITY D line depth and unfortunately that is what I feel will keep us from making a run this year.

Certainly comes off as an ND type kid. Didn't realize he was in the Pagano family. Really like this kid a lot with his makeup and work ethic plus I liked the way he caught the ball on offense even though he's a DL. Very fluid athlete.

ISD power hour comments made it seem he may not be a take...but then said we will most likely take over 25 this cycle. I would love to go through the roster and get a feel for who is transferring or taking a medical.

I would love to add him, but I am with you in this one. I am not feeling that we have the momentum right now, but I also didn't really believe we were actually going to land Beal either. If he wants in, I'm down. If not, that sucks, And feel like we would be missing out. All I know is if a quality DL wants in, we need to take him, and sort out the numbers later.

ND would be idiots not to take him if he wants to come here. We need DE and by the looks at it Hayes might be going elsewhere. These are the types of players that end up biting us in the ass.
