I see ND being 11...
LAst year they took a ton of stock in undefeateds early
1. Ohio st
2. LSU
3. Clemson
4. Baylor
5. TCU
6. MSU
7. Iowa
8. Alabama
9. Stanford
10. Okla St
11. ND
That's a great list. I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. Everyone of those teams is deserving, ND included. I bet Memphis is hovering around 12-13, and deservedly so. Should be a wild finish!
With ways teams play each other, If this is the rankings and we win out and assuming we don't get hopped, we will at least be 5 at end of year. Then we need our opponents to finish strong so we can hop

50% correct.Oh boy. ESPN already drumming up that the winner of LSU-Bama next week should be number 1.

People on ESPN this morning are calling for Bama to be in the top 4 right now!
Somebody explain this to me. Is Bama's SoS better than ours? If not, our loss is significantly better than theirs and the SEC as a whole is down this year in my opinion.
Their schedule has fallen apart worse than ours.
Wisconsin is average, at best
Auburn is trash
Georgia is trash
Texas A&M was wildly overrated
Ole Miss is, well, Ole Miss
LSU is literally the only game on their schedule that is remotely daunting
What's best case scenario this weekend? LSU beating Bama?
Also what if LSU wins out, are we going to have to hear talk about them only playing 12 games? Or does that get wiped out cause of them playing a conference title game.
Best case is Ole Miss running the table and winning the West, probably won't happen. I do think LSU winning would be best, mostly because I hate Bama and will never root for them.
I'm not saying LSU winning out is best case. I'm just curious if people think the playing 12 games will be held against them like people wanted it held against ND.
Losing 1 game (failed 2pt conversion away from OT, in a monsoon) to a team that everyone thinks will be ranked Number 1 when the playoff committee votes deserves ND to be ranked within the top 10.
Standford lost to NW and barely beat Wash St. Iowa might literally have the weakest schedule I've ever seen from a power conference member. Alabama lost to Ole Miss who has easily crapped the bed. The only teams that should be ranked ahead of ND are:
Clemson
Ohio State
LSU
Baylor
TCU
and Maybe MSU
Stanford and Bama are only ahead because of marketing and the "eye" test, because some just believe they have better athletes and can compete at a higher level than ND. SoS and the actual results should be the measuring stick, and with that, ND deserves to be in the top 10 and should control their own destiny.
USC is wicked talented and just had a baffoon of a coach. Temple is a really good team. GT, Texas, Navy, and UMASS, regardless of their records are all formidable opponents unlike the trailer trash teams that some of the teams ranked ahead of ND play. Every single week ND has to play sound football where as other teams can commit 4+ TO's and win games against sub par competition. Any team on ND's schedule could beat any team with 4+ TO's.
If ND runs the table and ends up with ranked wins against GT, Temple, Pitt, Stanford @ 11-1 then i can't imagine how they are left out.
Texas is terrible football team you almost wonder if texas paid OU to lose. UMass is not a good team at all. And you are forgetting that we were awful against VA.

Iowa is not a good football team..
I just can't see Iowa being #8, but .... They beat an average Pitt, Wisc and NW teams this year and the rest were puds. Their remaining schedule is a complete joke ... IU, Minn, Purdue and Neb. Talking about an easy road going into the B!G tournament. Wow! Definitely not an IU fan, but I'll be one next weekend!

So... let me get this right. Many of the posts out here have the Irish better than Bama? Just asking because all emotion aside, I just don't see that.
