I thought Chris Brown played a good game. He isn't the game breaker we want him to be but he plays with some fire. I'll take him.

Since you can so easily project out future performances and overall quality of a team based on any game that they play, at least we should steamroll Stanford who is struggling with juggernaut WSU.

See that is exactly why people need to chill. Look at how well USC has played since our game with them. Week to week you just never know. I will take a W over a top 25 team any day of the week. I don't care who it is. Hell, Temple is very good on defense, and I actually came away impressed as hell with them. Lot's of future, potential Patriots lol.

I understand what you are saying and the upset is always possible. But knowing that Temple gets the recruits who get NOs from Penn State, Pitt, Maryland, West Virginia, Rutgers and possibly Navy means that ND should not be in a competitive game with them.

There are roughly 200 thousand high school football players. That is only a guess off the top of my head. With 128 DI teams only about 10k+ get signed. If a player is over looked by scouti g agencies, which happens all the time. It all depends on coaches "shopping" their players film around. A lesser known school can still get good talent. Then it also comes to coaching those players up. A "Reggie Bush" player that only uses half their talent can be equal to a player that puts their heart and sole on the line every play.

That's why a lot of teams get upset or are losing late and make come backs. Talent doesn't always win games, coaching schemes doesn't always win games, sometimes pure heart can put you in a position to win games.

Maybe I'm putting too much into the stigma of what is Temple football. I'm not sold this team is good, especially the offense and to have to count on a 2 minute drive to beat them isn't good.

Well we beat them so whether you think it's good or not is really irrelevant. We have another game next week. Perhaps ND will be able to perform to your exacting standards then. Until then, we won! Stop whining.

Well, can't say I can change your mind if that's your opinion. I'll see you later this week before the game.

I just don't think this defense isn't playing up to its talent level. Too much thinking. I love the way Temple plays free and just flys around. We have to be better on that side of the ball these last 4 weeks.

I've not really touched the Joe Schmidt "love" that seems to be running through this board but it's tough to watch at this point.

He has just not played well this year and it's obvious to everyone. Constant missed tackles and blown coverages.

Hopefully something is done and soon.

One thing that stood out is that Temple defenders tackled extremely well. I can't remember any arm tackles or horribly missed tackles. I don't know what needs to happen, but I wish ND players would tackle that way. Maybe it just comes from the lowly recruited guys knowing they need to make up for their relative lack of talent with technique?

I'm pretty sure Sheldon played the second half with a shoulder issue. Has anyone heard anything?

I saw that too. On a couple of drives, it seemed like his left arm was hanging and he had his right arm flexed. But he kept going back in the game

Irishman3, nothing will be done with Joe S. He is beloved by the coaches. So, he is untouchable. Max, KR, and the rest of the team will get lit up by BK---but, Joe will never, ever be talked to like that. He is absolutely untouchable and will start and play the entire game no matter what if healthy. This whole season has proved that.

If he played the second half with a broken collarbone, then he is one of the toughest SOB's to put on a ND uniform.

My nephew played an entire quarter in the city championship this year after he broke his collarbone. True story.

So he's entered Tommy Rees and Cam McDaniel territory?

You heard it here first, BK is a racist. Tell Eli Apple's mother to add this nugget to her obviously extememly well thought out group of tweets.
