I should add, ND can be 8-5 every year and pull players from SoCal but to be in line for everyone short of the Biggie Marshall types who will always go to SC, they need to be 10+ and splitting games with the Trojans.

There's been a lot of chatter about Mique flipping to UCLA. As much as I hate Mora, I would not mind the move. Kid is a stud... sure would be nice if he gave ND another shot. That is, if he is indeed looking around and not just playing California games.

He's been a soft commit ever since he committed to SC. He's always talked about taking visits, and he's always talked up UCLA the most among his other interested schools. For his sake I hope he doesn't commit anywhere yet or we could have another Tony Jefferson recruitment, where you never know when his final commitment will be.

Kid can play though. I agree...better UCLA than USC.

Mom is pro-UCLA. I think it is UCLA/USC till the end. He even stated he will be watching USC closely to see how they utilize Sua Cravens.

So, learning more about him since this post...USC was his first offer he jumped all over it. He committed to the coaches, but told them it to go public because he still wanted to let the process play out more just in case. He wasn't ready to go public, but somehow the word got out and he had to live with it. He's just a kid who wants to enjoy the process. A coach would be smart not to put pressure on him to commit.

Could plan official visits to Nebraska, Notre Dame, Michigan and Ole Miss, per Rivals. Their feeling is that he will narrow it down to one local school (presumable USC or UCLA) and one OOS (take your pick, but for some reason he has a great relationship with Nebraska coaches) and decide between the two.

Living out of state truly intrigues him, so it's a real possibility. But in the end, I still think it's going to be USC or UCLA. He's a big Su'a fan (if you haven't seen Su'a Cravens play...look him up. He's like a poor man's DJ Morgan ) but also like's UCLA's Miles Jack a lot. He wants to see how they are utilized. If Jaylon Smith has a big year, hopefully he'll look at that to help him think harder about ND...

These situations usually have been in the works. I would imagine, if you were wavering on your decision, your coach being a drunken fool could be the push at ledge's edge.

Just like everybody thought Hayes would end up Irish even though he was still a SC commit, everybody out here thinks Juarez ends up a Bruin even though he hasn't decommitted from SC.

BTW... Keep an eye out for another DT-QB / MLB prospect out of LA. Victor Viramontes of Norco. I was told the Irish are still chirping at him though he is a Michigan commit at this time.

Told Biggins this morning he wants to visit OSU and ND. Waiting on SAT scores to come in for that. He has academic work to do for ND specifically. Believe he wants to EE which is an issue too. UCLA considered the clear leader.

If any of the SC decommits don't end up with us UCLA is the next best place... anything that directly impacts SC in a negative way is good.
